I wasnt ever going to get it until its came to half price of its retail price (sometime next year)
personally I think its great but only because its essentialy the same game as COD4.
I reckon once the excitement of the new maps of COD5 wears off I would go back to COD 4 anyway
Personally I was always looking forward to Banjo-Kazooie, Dead Space, Far cry 2, GEARS 2, Left for dead, fallout 3, LBP, Resistance 2 more than COD WAW
I can't help but to compare this game to Call of Duty 4, and because of that I feel greatly disappointed. Mind you, I did like the multiplayer in Call of Duty 3, but to me, World at War is missing substance.
My biggest complaint with the game, however, is the fact that it's pretty much a Call of Duty 4 WWII mod. This game isn't doing anything to push the Call of Duty name into something new and fresh. Instead, we're given the exact same perks and challenges, for the most part.
Its exactly like Call of Duty 4, just in World War 2.
The maps just suck. The only one thats remotely decent is Castle, and thats still not that good. Its unbalanced IMO.
The tanks, as you said, make the game unbalanced cause its so hard to destroy them.
The guns seem really weak. I dont know if its just the games Ive been playing lately with the really good guns or what, but yeah.
Ill stick with Call of Duty 4.
Are you kidding? I just got COD4 yesterday and it was at almost full price, I don't think WaW will drop that much that soon. And I don't think I'm getting WaW, I'm fine with COD4...I wasnt ever going to get it until its came to half price of its retail price (sometime next year)

I really liked the beta, I agree it's more like CoD 4.5 but is that a bad thing?? I like the guns more in WaW they feel like guns not like lazer beamz. I'm getting it and I can't wait.wii_dude101
It's not a bad thing but certainly not worth 60 dollars, I'd rather keep playing 4 and buy something completely different.
I dont understand how COD4 fans can talk all this trash about cod5? If it was made by teh same company you guys would be praising it.
To me its the same as cod4, but a little better because of the dogs and how the sniping is ALOT better then cod4's.
I doubt ill buy cod5 though as its just the same old cod4 stuff over again and persoanlly think cod4 is the most overrated online shooter ever. Id much rather play Team Fortress 2 on PC or Vegas2, Shadowrun or Halo3 on 360 then cod4.

Actually it's not that its made by a different company, I was actually hoping since it was made by a different company that it would be diffeent but they're just capitalizing on the new features IW came out with. No one said it's the best shooter people are just saying it's better than COD5 or maybe not better but still to much of the same thing for my taste, so don't get your panties in a bunch.

Yeah it's ridiculous how many rpgs it takes to take down the tanks, I don't know I'll wait for the reviews and see if they actually bothered to fix anything, but it's looking like i'm going to pass on it and just wait for COD6.
Very disappointing...I think the graphics are a LOT worse then in COD4....Basically online is a COD3 all over again......but not as good.....Then again it is only the Beta....But if Treyarch have brains they'd make the Beta better then the real game..to rope people in....Okay maybe it has got a Co Op Campaign...But its not as if you're gonna play the campaign 500 times.......Which is what you do in multiplayer online....So I'm not gonna buy it....im gonna rent it.....See if its pants.....and then decide on whether to buy it or not........
But its true......The Beta was very disappointing....
I don't like the idea of these rabid dogs stalking you while you're playing either.....They're glitchy and unrealistic as well......
Treyarch have screwed this one up IMO
wth are you talking about. i think their realistic and their not glitchy. their so freaking awsome.I don't like the idea of these rabid dogs stalking you while you're playing either.....They're glitchy and unrealistic as well......
Treyarch have screwed this one up IMO

Yeah I don't know what your talking about. Maybe you were just lagging. The dogs are by far the coolest thing about the game. I have yet to experience any glitching with them at all.

While i understand where your coming from and also agree with you, i can also sympathize with Treyarch and the Catch 22 they are in.
If they keep it the same, they are lacking originality and are just copying COD 4.
If they switch it up then they gets complaints about messing with the formula that clearly worked wonders for CoD 4.
While i think there is a happy medium that could have been reached, the sad reality is that it is impossible to please everybody. And unfortunately for Treyarch, it is almost impossible to please a good chunk of CoD 4 players, simply because they aren't Infinity Ward.

Which is a bunch of prejudice BS because if this was WWII shooter and was made by IW everybody would say the game is great and fun.

No I never cared that it wasn't IW that made it because COD4 was the first game of the series that I played... So it wasn't that I honestly was looking forward to the game regardless of who made it, and I was really disappointed. I gave reasons for being disappointed It's not biased. You're being biased by making that statement, I never even brought up Treyarck or IW I just wrote what I thought about the game and I stand by that. The game it self overall isn't that bad but it's basically the same as COD4 only worse that is the point of this. I was expecting more innovation. I do think that it's worse than COD4, and that's my opinion I'm not being biased whatsoever. People can have their opinions, I'd rather save myself 60 dollars and buy a better game which there are more of this season.I think people don''t think about how you really are giving an awful lot of money to these companies to just keep releasing the same things over and over again which is what they're doing with this and games like Rainbow Six... There are no excuses why Treyarck couldn't be more innovative, because COD3, COD2 are very different from COD4 and IW didn't just stick to the formula. So the fact that Treyarch did shows that they're just capitalizing. AGAIN I HAVE REASONS therefore I'm not being biased.
Which is a bunch of prejudice BS because if this was WWII shooter and was made by IW everybody would say the game is great and fun.
probably, because then it wouldnt be so glitchy and crappy.
this game is clunky. the soldiers run like idiots, the graphics are PS2, the guns are unbalanced.
its just overall crappy.
if IW had made the game, it would be praised, yes.

Dude calm down I was talking about ppl who don't have reasons and hate the game based on the sole fact that it is made by Treyarch. Unless I say that ilton45 is being an idiot then I'am not directing it towards you personally I know you are entitled to your opinion and that's fine but some ppl just don't have reasons and are juts plain stupid.
Besides I'am gonna buy Fallout 3 before anything else and save money for CoD:WaW when I get bored of CoD 4 and get my golden Ak

yeah well when CoD6 was announced everyone was already saying that there gonna get the game when there were no details released about the game at all.
and how are the graphics crappy if it looks just like CoD4 now your just making stuff up when it comes to the graphics, I have'nt played the game so I can't say anything about the gameplay....yet.

Possibly I was....but it seems to happen to me a lot while playing it.....then again...its a beta...
I know it's just a CoD 4 WWII mod but I prefered the multiplayer over CoD 4's. I don't like WWII but after playing it for a while, the game just seemed to appeal to me more than CoD 4 did. The tanks don't unbalance it becuase there's TWO tanks per map, one for each team.
That said, I'll only get it AFTER all of the other great games are bought and there are A LOT of good games.
I dont understand how COD4 fans can talk all this trash about cod5? If it was made by teh same company you guys would be praising it.

It's not made by the same company which is one of the biggest reasons CoD 4 fans critisized it.
