COD will become FPS equivalent of EA sports games. WAW is boring & I can't for the life of me. See why so many like it so much, it's a weaker version of cod4. And like EA sports games has some extra things tacked on like co-op NICE. A lot of my pals on live were loving GeOW 2 and all of a sudden bang. They wont play gears & yes I do own WAW and afer a hour I am sick of it. Might be time to find new friends over live. I also know IW will be doing the next COD but they will most likey be using the same engine ( with some improvements like GeOW 2 alothough IMO not as many ). RANT RANT give us a two year wait IW only made COD games and let Treyarch sick to making crap spiderman/movie games.

i dont understand how you say it is a weaker version of cod4 when it uses the same engine and also campaign is longer. has more perks. yes the crappy ww2 guns arent as great as the new ones on cod4 but overall i think the game is just as good. i would give waw the advantage on the campaign but cod4 would win the multiplayer.

More perks yes but just like the game before it, most will use the same configureration of perks and the more perks are down to tank perks. I hate the tanks anyway, so many rounds (RPG) to kill them. Yes it uses the same engine but what has it brought new to the table? Tanks & a flamethrower and as I have pointed out I don't like them.

As for the single/co-op it may be longer but IMO it's not better. Crawing through a burning bulding with nazis shooting at you. Or hiding in grass as a patrol passes over you and crawing under tanks, trying not to be spoted wins hands down. Also having japs run at you ready to be mowed down is hardly fantastic.

As for MP you said it cod4 wins, WAW maps are not as good IMO and bolt action rifes are useless unless scoped FUNNY that!

Every single Call of Duty with the exception of Modern Warfare has been the exact same game in a different setting. Controls, AI, basic level design, movement, animations, you name it and they are all recycled garbage. COD4's sinlge player was fantastic and really stood head and shoulders above the others, but the ridiculously Halo-esque multiplayer ruined it for me (a Marine in full gear jumping off a two story building should not be able to head shot me in mid-air) and the perks were ridiculous (you let me know when someone figures out how to double the fire rate of a weapon in real life without it melting and/or breaking). This wouldn't have beens so bad if they hadn't sold it as a military shooter, which implies some tactics and strategy beyond lobbing 'nades over the middle line after you spawn or spraying wildly with the P-90 while your Juggernaut absorbs 6 clips of direct fire. I will never be buying another COD and in fact I am loathe to even spend the eight bucks to rent it when there are much better, more innovative games to be playing right now.
