Between these two, which is better in your opinion?

After playing the demo for L4D, I just thought how amazing it was and how I was definitely going to get it, but after a while, I started thinking that maybe it would just get boring.  I guess I can't really say that I would definitely get bored of it because I still play Counter Strike, but I dunno...I mean there are only like 10 weapons and you are doing pretty much the same thing over and over...

CoD 4 was one of my fav games from last year and I was really excited to hear about a new one, but not too excited to hear that it was in WW2.  But from what I have heard, some people still enjoy it and its setting.  I love the sense of progression one gets from playing online, getting experience and unlocking new weapons.  Plus a lot of features like co-op play and Naz Zombies make this game a little more interesting...

Need some help here guys, and I kind of want to see why you choose one game over the other...

Thanks!

I would say Left 4 Dead is better. The co-op is so fun with the right people and the random A.I. Director can make each play through different.

Honestly, I'd go with L4D. I tried the demos for both and it seems like there's more fun to be had in L4D then WaW. WaW is more of the same, whereas L4D is unique and the "zombie FPS" hasn't really been done this well on consoles. Remember Fiddlers Green on the XBOX anyone?. :?

The zombie mode on CoD WaW is fun indeed, but that part of the game tends to get...annoying

Left 4 Dead is defiantly unique and more fun to play with 4 friends or stranger and makes you help each other more out to survive the movies

I have COD:WAW and love it. Alot more skill involved for the MP side IMO. Mainly due to the weapons. COD4 with the modern weapons was too easy to get the kill. As long as you saw the person first you generally got the kill. COD:WAW involves a lil bit more timing and accuracy to get the kill and generally you don't get it on the first shot. (Or even two shots for that matter) Of course this is all my opinion. Props for Treyarch on stepping up there game.

L4D demo was great. I cant wait to get the game. It is on my must buy list. Mainly for Co-op. I wish I could tell you more but can't really give you all my thoughts on the game until I actually play the game.

That is really neat that you mentioned that about CoD 4 because that was one of its downfalls (IMO) because I felt that too many guys could get away with Run n Gun rather than actual skill.  I feel a lot of shooters are like that but its nice to see the few that can pull of something like having skill in a game generally gives you a better chance to be the top player.

Playing a game like CS where my competitive side shows up then trying to get into a game like L4D that really doesn't have much of, its kind of hard to like it.  I think what L4D does for co-op gaming is amazing but I feel that WaW has everything all in one package, even though its co-op isn't at the level of L4D's co-op, but WaW has everything from competitive, to offline, and co-op in the game.

I know that L4D has a versus mode, but from what I hear, the zombie side is supposed to be weaker.  That doesn't make me very happy in that it would take a lot more effort to get much satisfaction in the Versus mode.  Obviously I haven't played it yet but just from previews I have read, it doesn't sound like the versus mode will be very enticing...

Thanks for the comment. I was expecting a ton of hate from that comment. lol

I thought L4D was unique because this type of game hasn't really been done well before. Sure there's room for improvement (probably another game next year) but as of right now this is as good as it gets.

CoD WaW has a better online system but to me it's been done before and I'm not one of those types of people who enjoy the same old WWII setting. I have CoD4 so I'll just play that when I need a CoD fix.

I haven't really heard much about the WaW zombie game type but from what I have heard it's one of those game modes where you stay in one place and just fight off waves of zombies. That doesn't seem like much fun if you can't really move around and explore.

I think that Call of Duty: World at War would win because of its addictive leveling system

Even though L4D is a new thing, I think more people will play CoD because of the level system and the fanbase...

Left4Dead? The balls. I have only played a demo but it was the best demo ever. There is NOTHING more satisfying than blowing somethings head off with a shotgun. These arn't no soft zombies either. They are damn good climbers and runners.
