i dont really notice these things as i dont use a headset. but when we're in the lobby i can hear the people talk from my tv speakers but even then i just mute the tv until the game starts.summer_star17x

i do agree with most of this, CoD4 is my first CoD game, but i don't run n gun with the P90 and don't think that i am the best, i don't trash talk unless it is with my friends and it's all in good fun,so i didn't know chinatown was a remake but it is awesome so yeah

Not only is like50%(or more) of the community new to the cod series but they are A**holes who think the "OWN" as they say. From racism to little kids to jerks with large egos this game is building up a horrible community. These are the ppl that run and gun with P90s and double tap and when they kill you they brag about it in the lobby. These are the ppl that dont know chinatown is a remake of caritan from cod2 because they never played any other CODs. These are the ppl that talk crap in the lobby about how much they are going to own you and win the match.
COD4 has become nothing but running and gunnng for the most part and I thank the community for that.

There should be a separate division of XBOX Live for adults. I have thought so for years. Easiest way to do it is require Social Security #'s when you would sign up for it. Then the kids could have their area and the adults like myself could have more fun and hear less garbage and ranting.

Halo doesnt have a bad community just a whole bunch of little kids that have convinced thier parents to let them get Halo because its "Not that Bad". COD4 has a whole bunch of people who think they are so good and end up getting in 2nd to last place with a Double tap P90. Also COD4 players are kinda annoying they will get into a fight with you for sniping the guy they were about to kill or throwing a grenade that freaked them out so they move into the open and get shot. Also you do get the occasional little kid.
Every game has some, halo 3 has gotten a lot better but it still has a lot of them, they mostly just 9 year olds from england and just annoy the s*** out of you till you just want to quit but sometimes you cant mute them, you need to them there is a guy on left flank, even though they yell at me for it any way.....cod4 has gotten a thousand times worse since launch, the people are racist always, they swear at you when you try to help them and they shot you in hardcore when you are trying to talk to a friend in the game.....even rainbow six vegas 2 has jerks on it now, its really sad...I guess the internet is a really mean place lol

Yeah, it's rejects like him that make XBOX Live suck sometimes. I love how they always say that we should "never play again" and "throw away our 360". People like him say that stuff even when they lose. Poor sportsmanship=Lack of maturity.

This is definitely becoming a problem with online games. The fact that more and more people are finding ways to ruin it for the more mature players is annoying the living **** out of me. Yes, I understand that this is an open community but couldn't there be a little less of these idiots online that think they own the place and can do anything? but the problem will always be there is no real solution to this except for the tedious muting of every single person you don't like. This couldhave been made easy by CoD by allowing to do this within their game but for some reason they like your suffering and you must mute people through the Xbox Live tools. Online gaming is starting to suck because of these annoying jerk offs and I hope one day they will either mature or die.

Yeah..alot of games have this problem not just COD4. Halo 3, Madden, even Burnout at Times! But I never had the problem with COD4. I just noticed when I went to play it had this problem. I have been busy with Rainbow Six Vegas 2 and when I went back to COD me and all my friends went to play as a whole team and every one we fought was how you said. What a shame.
I think this is relative to every game. But personally I think COD4 is one of the best actually. As was said, go play Halo, its a million times worse. I find Gear of War to be the best in this respect, but even then, its not like it doesnt happen, these people are out there, and come one, swear words and racism are hilarious!TooQuickStix

I have an xbox 360 and a ps3 i stopped playing online on the 360 because of ppl like the ones you are talking about. the ps3 community is nothing like that i bought cod4 for the ps3 the day it was released and have yet to meet one of these ppl. halo3 and gears are over for me.
It's the same concept for people who whine about campers. If you don't like it, stop it. If you don't want someone to camp, find them and kill them. If you don't want someone to run-and-gun, camp, and snipe them. If you don't like it, do something about it. People find what works for them, and they use it. If they're destroying you, get better.

I really agree with what your saying, I got Call of Duty 4 like the week it came out, and it was great I shot up to about level 36 and never even had to tangle with any "squeakers" now recently I get on, the match has at least two of them and they won't shut up screaming every single thing they do as they play. how many times can I hear "HEYY I'M JUMPING ON A BOX!" over the headset, I've just about worn out my mute function. I don't think these people should be banned from playing because they pay for it same as I do (or there parents do anyway) but I'd definitely like a way to choose a gaming channel where I could avoid some of these guys. because for example since halo 3 came out, Gears of War has been 100x more fun, the **** and the racisim is pretty much gone since only the people who like playing Gears are still playing it. Its something microsoft has gotta deal with, why am I gonna pay for their service if every time I get on live its like listening to someone take a horrendious dump in my ear. and I can't mute 3/4ths of xbox live, although it might come to that.

I agree with you, live should have a feature where you can create a certain gaming channel for certain ppl. It would decrease the chances of ppl be annoying, but it won't stop it. And how bout a vote boot option. If someone is team killing or anything annoying, the majority will vote and kick him off the server.

I'm not sure I'd say the trashiest, it has gotten a lot better since the releases of Halo 3 and COD4. It's still pretty bad though.
the community reflects off America's population. Sadly, that's how the majority of American youth act, so in a popular game, that's what you're gonna get. It's the same with halo. If you don't like the community, try playing a game that no one plays, or an extremely hard game that 5 year olds aren't capable of playing.
