I completely agree with the poster of the topic. The only time i could play COD4 was when i was in the mood for run and gun. thats all the game consists of in single player and multi player. hardly anyone uses the mic on cod4 for tactics. Most of the time your stuck listening to two d-bags talk about their favorite music, or some girl they were trying to get with. The second you start shouting out enemy positions you get sarcastic remarks like thanks, sherlock. My favorite is thanks **** could of used that 5 seconds ago.....

Lacking skill in COD 4 is hardly a reason to trash all over it.....I have a friend just like you. He's 4 years older than myself, that's 32 to help you out. I've known him for about 11 years and he has ALWAYS been terrible at FPSs. He recently picked up a 360 and has Halo 3 and COD 4. And he whines and complains and gets mad and then just gets off without even telling us he's leaving. Whose fault is it that his accuracy is less than 6% and his F.N.G. time is 97.54 seconds? His own. Don't play the game if you can't hang with the competition. Don't come online and gripe about it because you want to piss off people on the boards either.

The competition there is just as tough. Even with a 142 IQ I can admit that there are people that are sharper out there. I think your problem is arrogance....among many other things.

Yeah, I do get it. COD 4 is filled with whiny little kids and cheap tactics. But if you play with a group of friends and play tight and tactical it turns into a marvelous online experience! You don't have to love it. And try Poker Smash for a wicked good puzzler! I'm sorry I keep offering Live Arcade games up, but you want games that use your brain and Live Arcade is where they reside.

Lacking skill in COD 4 is hardly a reason to trash all over it.....I have a friend just like you. He's 4 years older than myself, that's 32 to help you out. I've known him for about 11 years and he has ALWAYS been terrible at FPSs. He recently picked up a 360 and has Halo 3 and COD 4. And he whines and complains and gets mad and then just gets off without even telling us he's leaving. Whose fault is it that his accuracy is less than 6% and his F.N.G. time is 97.54 seconds? His own. Don't play the game if you can't hang with the competition. Don't come online and gripe about it because you want to piss off people on the boards either.

Yeah, I do get it. COD 4 is filled with whiny little kids and cheap tactics. But if you play with a group of friends and play tight and tactical it turns into a marvelous online experience! You don't have to love it. And try Poker Smash for a wicked good puzzler! I'm sorry I keep offering Live Arcade games up, but you want games that use your brain and Live Arcade is where they reside.

Just because it's not a realistic game doesn't mean it's 'dumb' it's another way of playing, after all most people buy games to escape the limits of reality.

No where do I see any promises of realism in the back cover.

I find it funny how you call this game a 'last-gen' shooter do to its lack of realism when it was last gen that games such as SWAT 4 and Rainbow Six 3 were realeased.

I agree with you. I LOVED Bioshock - not very realistic. Most games aren't realistic, and that's fine. Its the fact that the game could have been so much more if weren't so dumbed down.

Reading through the first page of this thread I sympathised with you and actually I do agree as well. I have never liked any of the COD games and it was torture to complete COD4. That's just not my taste. However, if you're going to say something that is guaranteed to tick some people off then be prepared for it. Don't stoop to the levels that you critisize and act like a jerk name calling and insulting them. In the end, and by page 2 you look like a total a**. I'm not sure, but I think you were trying to tell us something about Jerry Springer and Burger King. It's hard to tell from the Frankenstein that is your post. If I didn't know any better I'd say you just typed every English word you knew and hoped future Alien races would be able to decipher it.

You must be one of "500,000" because your post looks like an English teacher's nightmare. As for single player, I think it's the best to date. It's well balanced with many different mission types including covert (All Ghilled Up and One man, One Shot) and has an unmatched level of intensity. If you are simply pointing your gun and shooting to get through the game, you should try the Veteran setting. As for online, if you want something tactical, then try Headquarters or Search and Destroy.JFRocker

My point is that you essentially called Call of Duty fans "dumb" and yet you can't get through a paragraph without making simple spelling errors. I'm not a Grammarian myself, and I normally wouldn't even bring it up since it's a forum on videogames and not Charles Dickens. My friend, I played through the campaign on veteran and I only died about 10-15 times in each level. This reinforces the fact that you are probably a whiny little kid, sitting at home complaining about how you don't like certain genres of gaming.
