COD4 multiplayer rank loss - anyone else gettin this problem?

Just gottin into the whole XBOX Live thing and lovin it. Call Of Duty 4 is probably the best multiplayer available.

But for some reason, everytime i log in it hasn't remembered any of the progress i've made. It only happened a couple of times to start with but now it happens everytime i log in. I've been stuck at Level 6 for 2 weeks now and have levelled up to 7, 8, and 9 so many times and completed different marksman challenges over and over and over. But as soon as i turn off it all dissapears and i'm back to Level 6 without any of the xp i gained last play session and without any of the challenges i completed next time i log on.

Is anyone else getting this problem? Can anyone help me out? Or am i doomed to COD4 purgatory forever?

I've actually never heard of anyone with your problem, you might wanna call Xbox support and see what they say? But I'm not too sure.

One of my friends had a rank of almost 6th Prestige and he logged on one day only to see it was reset. Sucked for him, but he got it back pretty quick.

I found a few forums with ppl havin the same problem but it's pretty rare and only happens to them once or twice. I'll keep an eye out for any other info i can find.
