Anyone think they'll release another map pack or are we stuck wait for the COD5 to be released next year. I've tried playing COD:WOW but something about it makes 1) SUCK and 2) not enjoy it as much as I did in COD4.

1: CoD5 IS CoD:wAw Call of Duty World at War is not Call of Duty 5. If it was Call of Duty 5 it'd be called Call of Duty 5 or Call of Duty 5: World at War.
Anyway, to tc, it should be obvious that there wont be any more DLC for Call of Duty 4 or even play list updates for that matter.
Activision want to support World at War since it's the new Call of Duty. Supporting CoD4 at the Same time as World at War would be conflict of interest.

I don't that CoD:WaW is CoD5 but you never know how the DEV will label the next one, and WaW is nothing but a good but NOT GREAT clone of CoD4,i hate the stupid Tanks love the dogs and the 3 TK's and you are bootied. hope IW keeps the 3 and out rule

Since Activision plans on releasing a new CoD every year, it's time to stop using numbers all together. I doubt there will ever be an actual CoD 5 or 6 or whatever. From now on i'd expect names like with COD World at War, or CoD Bunch O' Guns.
Who knows if they will release a new COD4 map pack.If they do it better be worth my money this time around.I still don't understand how they can charge 800 ms points for the invasion map pack in COD2?
Its been rumored that they are bringing out Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 late in 2009. They are planning on splitting the Modern Warfare and the World at War in two separate things. Hopefully they can focus on them a little better if they're split up.
WaW is essentially the same it's just all a matter of preference. It's also somewhat a harder game as the guns aren't all pintpoint accurate :P
I also see no point in new COD4 maps since I never even got to play the first map pack that I paid for since everyone either didn't have it or voted against the maps each and every time..
It was announced on G4 TV that IW was looking to launch a 2nd map pack for COD 4 - but they decided to change their minds to help supposrt Treyarch's W@W installment - they also announced that any ideas for new maps will be taken into strong consideration for MW2 slated to launch in the fall of '09.
Anyway. I'm pretty sure Activision said they were going to just drop numbers for the CoD franchise altogether. I highly doubt we'll get anymore maps, but seeing as how we have two games that are pretty much the same, we can just switch between WaW and Modern Warfare whenever deemed necessary. If you don't like WaW, you're out of luck. Publishers are not going to push last years games...

This is the way it's going to be, like I mentioned when the news on it first surfaced. They're just going to have series and currently it's Modern Warfare and World at War, later on they'll change.
Um... there are the same games (COD WAW= COD5). I would be shocked to see more maps for COD 4 cause of COD 5 and lets not forget COD 6 is coming out in Fall of 2009. Thee set it up so it is like one map pack a year now basically and in my opion it is a rip. Im don't plan on getting COD 5 or maybe 6 but i might... still if there was a new map pack for COD 4... it might spark my interst for like a day.
