I wanted to rent fight night round three, does anyone know how much it costs to rent a game for a week or so at blockbusters since it's like the only store around my area, except for a local chain called movie gallery. Thanks

I don't know about Blockbuster; however, I do work at a Movie Gallery, and our price for Xbox 360 game rentals is $7.99 for five days.  Get yourself a part-time job at a MG, and get your game rentals for free.  The only downside: putting up with d***head customers...

(MG is an international chain, by the way, just like Blockbuster)

it depends if it is a corporate store or a franchise store. The corporate store around here is $5.99 for a 1 week rental, the franchised store 3 blocks from there is $8.99 for one week

thanks alot, In response to the call of duty 3 question, I love it. I keep hearing people talk crap about COD3 in comparison to COD2. COD3 has some truely intense battles and if you play it on a harder difficulty then you will die often. Some of the battles seem to go on in a gears of war sort of fashion, in fact in some instances I swore that I failed to trigger something in order to progress and end the swarms of enemies. The biggest problem I have with the game is that on more than one instance, performing a certain action or completing a task fails to trigger the completion of that checkpoint and you have to restart that mission or progress depending on where you saved. One of the other problems I have is the little mini-game esque things you have to do. I understand it breaks up the combat, but every time I set the bomb or row a boat (please), it's a non-gratifying waste of time, nothing like that of splinter cell DA's intuitive safe cracking system. But I'm nitpicking, because I've played the game through 3 times and I still can't get enough. Not to mention the "join the party" system of the multiplayer is farely lag free and completely entertaining with it's new maps. sorry so wordy.

Last time I rented from Blockbuster was roughly a month ago. It cost me roughly around $8.50 for the game. And on top of that (well, for my area at least) you have to have a major credit card on the account; then they charge you 1 dollar to even rent it. The extra dollar is only applied to Xbox 360 rentals. So it's around $9 something. I wish I could find a reciept.

The prices have skyrocketed over the years. 2 years ago it cost me exactly $6.39 to rent a game, now i'm paying $3 more. What a joke.

Some of the Blockbusters are starting to relax on the major credit card again and went back to accepting debit cards. Instead of paying close to $9 for one rental just do the one month game pass for $22. You actually get to keep the game for close to 5 weeks and you can exchange games as much as you want. The day before your game pass expires go get another game and then they will give you an 5 extra days. One of the guys that work there told me to do that to squeeze out a few extra days.

Its still 7.99 where i live, but i guess it went up because since theres no late fees you can technicaly keep the game up to 13 days without and troubles. The only place that does rent for 5 bucks still is Hollywood Video but their selection sucks.

I know, I always buy my games, and havent rented in years. Just went there around xmas to grab Red Steel (cuz I heard it sucks) and was florred when the total was 10.35. I remebered promptly why I stopped renting and just buy used, I can buy the damn games used for 20 - 30 and I own them, and can get cash back in a trade if needed... Damn Blockbuster
