Wouldn't Nintendo have a say on all this?SolidKeevo

Why would they? They never owned Rare and never had anything to do with the Bond liscence. Now whoever controls the Bond liscence would have quite a lot of say in all this and most likely more than Rare. Technically Rare may not have any say at all. While they did make Goldeneye it was tied with the Bond Lisence which they do not have anymore. They may have bought the rights to Goldeneye and Goldeneye alone, but then Goldeneye: Rouge Agent never would have been released. Well then again they always could have gotten the rights to Goldeneye the game and not the name.
[QUOTE="justforlotr2004"]They just should put Goldeneye on XBLA and add online multiplayer.that would be sweet!

Try the US Government?EA owns the James Bond License but you know M$ if they can buy Rare and all these companies dunno whats stopping them froming owning EA.

Ninty did own Rare... about the topic: It is a possibility... MS would probably need to talk to Ninty, and more importantly EA... Maybe some agreement could be made where EA does the port for the VC and Rare does it for XBLA. That way, everyone is happy...I think if you're asking whether Rare still have it in them to create a sequel to Goldeneye then I think you also have to ask the same about the Free Radical team as well. The early Timesplitters games were good for their day but the most recent incarnations weren't particuarly good.Â
I don't know about Goldeneye specifically but I think Rare still have it in them to make another great game, be it an RPG, platformer or whatever. Kameo and Perfect Dark were pretty dissapointing but I think they had just been fermenting for too long. They were both games that were under development for the N64. Viva Pinata restored my faith in Rare. Hopefully with Microsoft pouring money on them and them finally excorcising their dusty old games that have been hobling around development for the last (almost) 10 years we'll be able to see something fresh and new from them. Â
