Go with dead rising, Crackdown gets boaring really quickly, and Lost Planet is dry on story and basically throws you in a level and says "shoot everything you see". Atleast with Dead Rising therse a pretty good story, and enough achievements and unlockables to make you want to go back for more.slipslayer_666Wow... EMilio FTL... GO with crackdown. Dead Rising got old like 15 minutes into the game...

...are you serious, How did it happen to get "old"? Cause 15 minutes into the game your begining your first mission getting to explore the open parts of the mall, not to mention get to destroy any zombies in your way. Plus your rescuing survivors, completing scoop missions, and unravel a whole mistery.
The first 15 minutes of Crackdown are as fallows:
Start at agency, pick car, drive out to street, Shoot Gang Member, Find Orange Safe house, Go after General, Shoot at General, Kill General. Repeat. Sure the super powers are ok but untill you get upwards of level 3 your agility isn't that great. Plus theres really nothing pushing you to kill any of the general, theres no story or any character development to speak of to make you want to even kill the bad guys.
:O you guys are killing me!!they're just both so much about pointless destruction. its at what level that the difference lies. crackdown is about blowing up piles of cars and emptying thousands of clips in all kinda suckas. stuffs blowin up everywhere and its madness. on the other hand, dead rising is madness on a smaller scale. you spend alot more time with each individual kill and there are many more options in how to do so. its also much much more humorous. just depends on what kind of destruction yer after, mass murder, or terrorism?
Dead Rising or Crackdown.... the world will never know :(

I'm not sure which game to get... I'll be getting Condemned on Monday, and then I'm thinking of getting one of the three. I love beat/shoot em ups like Crackdown, Zombie Slayers like Dead Rising, and weird shooters like Lost Planet, so I'm pretty much stuck on what to get.
To narrow it down even further, it would be between Dead Rising or Crackdown.... I just dont know what to get :(
So what do you peeps think?

Crackdown is a waste of money... Dead Rising is really good and Lost Planet... I didn't like LP's demo so I didn't buy it. Couldn't say.

I have never played Lost Planet so I can't speak for it. I find that both Crackdown and Dead Rising are very hit and miss games. You either love them, or hate them. I played Crackdown a lot at my friends house. He said he beat it in about 3 days. Sure it can be fun to just run around the city and goof off but how long can that last? Dead Rising takes about a week to beat the main game but some of the achievments are really fun and challenging to get. The Saint achievment is one of my favorite to get. After you get all of the achievments you have the same problem with Crackdown, how long can the game last? With Dead Rising it takes much longer to run out of goals to do. I would say go with Dead Rising if you are picking between the two. I have only played the Lost Planet demo so I can't say much but it seems like a very average shooter. Nothing wrong with that but it is nothing revolutionary.
Buy Dead Rising

And how many animations do you get with Crackdowns weapons? 1, him holding the gun to his shoulder, how many bare handed attacks does Crackdown have 2 the jump twist kick and then kicking him on the ground.
How many does Dead Rising have atleast ten, The face crusher, Jump Kick, BackFlip Kick, Disembowler, head rip, double lariet, the list goes on.
And as far as enemy annimations, atleast the zombies are solid and not flimsy creations of Rag Doll Physics.
