Yeah so I decided that I wasn't gonna drop $60 on a halo3 beta but then I recently became unemployed and grew bored so I decided to check it out. I was pleasently surprised. I encourage all of you to check it out. I love it and I usually hate sandbox games. I'm starting to think of the halo3 beta as a great little extra :)

yep, I agree. I picked this up yesterday and played it for about 40 mins total. I had the first gang leader marked but instead of taking them out straight away I found myself compelled to get those lil green orbs. I spent the whole time jumping around the starting area, killing the same thugs over again as I passed back through. I managed to have 30 orbs in that short time in the one area. I can see Im gonna b busy for a while with this one. I dont mind the cartoon look as it gives it the comic feel that a "super human" game should have I guess.

Yeah, it's a great game. In fact, I could care less about the Halo 3 beta, I bought it just for the game.

I beat the game in about 12 hours, and almost maxed out my player in the process. I've still got like 170 green orbs left and over a little over 200 mystery orbs to collect yet..... But wow, what a game. I was hooked from the minute I put it in!

It doesnt have alot of depth, but it sure is fun jumping around the city just dominating everyone you see. Then when you get bored, toss a bunch of cars in a pile, and blow em all up. Or just pick up one up, throw it in the air, lock on with a rocket launcher and juggle away. I liked the demo, and probably would have bought it anyways for the halo3 beta, but i've been pretty satisfied with the 2 or so hours i've put in so far.

definantly this is really fun, i dont know how or why, the missions are so bland and dull, but somehow its just really really fun lol, i love hopping around getting hidden orbs and agility orbs, and i also love trying to cause the biggest explosions possible :P

yea, and I find the target lock holding onto dead bodies isnt that much of an issue. you just release then move your cursor over the next and lock again.. I can see where ppl want it like GTA where you can just jump from one to the other. I think its fine how it is tho.

I had that same question in my mind cuz i have like 8 hours in it and im almost done.  I beat 2 of the gangs so far and my agility and firepower are almost maxed out.  Plus i have over half the green orbs but just about 100 of the hidden ones.  But im having a blast.  I could care less about the hours that it taking to beat the game cuz GRAW2 is coming out soon and that will leave Crackdown in the dust.  But over all i think the game is great.

How is the multiplayer? Does it just include Co-op? Which is ok with me, the demo has awesome Co-op. But in coop can you play forever, and just keep going on and on, and do you level up to your characters final apperance as fast as you do in the demo? Thanks

Glad you came around. Crackdown is a good game, it just needs some additional content (side missions, etc) and it'll go from good to great.

im sure they will let you run around the city when you killed all the bosses... also who here downloaded the 4 extra characters for free? kind of cool little thing. also when are they supposed to be adding this new content to give us 1000 points or even 1250 (its been upped to 1250 right?). hopefully there will be more bosses and maybe even more to the city like an offshore island. anyway love the game, especially the explosions.

Ya, Crackdown is a great game and I also recommend it. I had no intention of buying it, but after playing the demo I went online and preordered it. Its' really fun, one of the best sandboxes I've played. Glad you enjoy it.

Agreed.  This game has a pretty high addiction factor for me, (I'm crazy hooked on finding agility orbs).  And the graphics look freaking rad on my TV.  And then there's the added bonus of the H3 beta.  Yep, really glad I picked this one up.

So you had a job and didn't want to spend $60, then when you lost your source of income you decided to spend that $60?

well actually I had games I've been wanting to trade in. I see what you mean though.
