[QUOTE="darkserpent213"]How is it underrated? It's getting great reviews from everywhere and a ton of people on here love it as well. xgamer40i think he means the gamespot review :? I felt the GS review was exactly right, its a fun game but has no depth or storyline what so ever.

Metacritic shows several perfect scores and many more over a 90/100. I agree, the game is great. It's an expansive gem that lets you lose yourself and track of time, much like it's predecessor GTAIII and games like The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, or Super Mario 64.
nooo dude MS included the halo beta to give this (previously underrated game) more PR before it launched, so that this great game would'nt go unnoticed by the massesItalianSta11ionTrue, most of the people I know wouldn't have even bothered downloading the demo had the game not been bundled with the Halo 3 Beta Key. It's pretty scary that Microsoft has pretty much guarunteed selling several hundred thousand copies or maybe millions simply with the Halo 3 association. I usually end up downloading every new demo release on Xbox Live Marketlplace. It was the whole reason I decided to buy Crackdown in the first place. The Halo 3 Beta is always an added bonus. :D

On many forums everyone is more concerned talking about the Halo 3 beta instead of focusing on this game on its own but I could be 'hopefully' wrong, we'll see...

I don't know, I think it's good exposure. They're pretty much shooting the game into the hands of the Halo hardcore, and those people are at least going to play the game. Whether it hooks them or not is really up to just how great the game is and if it's ready for the masses. If not, it was destined to be so, and it will flop, just like it would if it didn't have all the nice exposure.
I will admit that for the first 2 days (about 2 hours of play time) that I had it, I was extremely disappointed and let down by Crackdown, as I had high hopes for it. I pressed onward though, and after spending more time with it and actually getting a good feel for the game, I have fallen in love with it and I have been playing nothing else.
I feel that this is one of those games that you really have to give a fair shake to and give yourself time to really get into the feel and flow of the game. It is one of those titles that you are not really impressed by at first, but the longer that you play it, the more it starts to actually grow on you.
So, I am loving the hell out of it right now, I just had to give it time, and I would advise anyone who starts to get bored with this game early on to just be patient and give the game a chance. Just try to get into the flow of it, and you will probably end up looking at the clock, only to realize that you have been playing it for about 4 hours straight or more, lol.
As far as the game being too short....what the hell? You can spend hours just running around picking things up, piling them in corners and blowing them up, doing races and stunts in vehicles to improve your driving skills, climbing buildings, jumping from roof to roof, looking for agility orbs and supply points. Just doing that is addictive as hell to me.....not to mention just down right fun. Then there is of course the gang leaders and the hordes of gang members....oh yeah, lol.
This game is nowhere near being too short, as there is plenty to do besides the main objectives. Just a great game all around., you just have to let it grow on you.
Wow this game being underrated??? Next people will start saying GeOW is underated which is quite the opposite. IMO this game is a complete piece of crapdukebd699ur a piece of crap for thinking the game is a piece of crap, u obviously dont kno too much about good videos games..
IMO the game is definitely a little underrated, but it is quite short. Also, being able to replay the game with your leveled up character (besides joining some new players co-op) would have been nice. Although, I guess its a good way for the developers to ensure there is a steady supply of people looking to join co-op games. The achievements, however, extend the re-playability quite a bit, considering the amount of time that it takes to complete the orb achievements.KodiakGTSNot only the orb achievements, the car achievements too. If you ask me, I am having a harder time doing them than finding my last 110 orbs or so. I can't get the 6 second jump T_T... I can't max out my driving skill either. 4 Stars currently and getting it to -- will be complete hell.
