Crackdown Vs. Dead Rising

Ah, it's fun to reminisce... I'm going for the Transmissionary achievement right now. I wish I could use the katana on Otis. He always calls at THE most inappropriate times... I've also been sampling the joys of the spitfire drink. Killing zombies with spit. Is anything better?

Full 1000!?! Then you spent 14 hours straight playing for the 7-day survivor achievement. That's next on my to-do list, I get the laser sword for that one, right? I have Transmissionary question though - Do you get the achievement as soon as you receive the final transmission from Otis, or do you get it at the end of the game? If it's the former I have to start again.

Ah poop... At least I got Hellacopter... and Gourmet... And Snuff Shots B and J... And Perfect Gunner... And the Psycho killer and photographer ones... I suppose it was a good run... Damn cheeky achievement though that Transmissionary one...

Isn't the laser sword for the 5-Day survivor achievement? I gave up on it after getting to 4 days, 23 hours, and 15 mins and having the game freeze. I was so pissed I didn't play DR again for like 3 months, lol.

Yeh, I just checked. 5-Day is Laser sword, 7-day is "Arthur's Boxer Shorts" or something similarly upmarket. On a side note, if you kinda squint, all these quotes look kinda like a pyramid.

Crackdown has a bit more replay value, plus the online is fun. With the new DLC, it's just a better game than Dead Rising. But you should still rent Dead Rising.

What! What game did you play because I've played Crackdown and there is virtually no story and once you've defeated the first gang leader you know what to expect for the rest of the game because its exactly the same every time. Dead Rising is much better then Crackdown at least it has a story and is a little unique.

Dead Rising!

Though to be fair, I only played the demo of Crackdown and thought the demo sucked, so I had no interest in buying the game. On the otherhand I played the demo of Dead Rising and knew I had to get it. Dead Rising has a ton of replay value, even besides the story. I'm sure I have not even killed the Zombies or Cultists in every way imaginable yet, and I've received all of the game endings, of which I think there are 5 or 6.
