Only on GameSpot can a topic about a shooting turn into something that has nothing to do with anything relevant.Ryo_Kensen
LOL
Someone earlier mentioned that we shouldn't lift the drug ban.
Actually, this losing war is costing valuable tax money on what can be used for my and other's education, or helping others in need. If people want to kill themselves, let them.
Why the hell did the mother say 'it was an accident', sorry but, was it hell! Oh yeah, the father 'accidently' was handeda gun and 'accidently' pointed it at his son and 'accidently' shot him in the head. People like that make me sick, obviously the mum cares more about her husband who shot her son than the son himself. The dad should stay in jail not only for shooting his son, but for going over the top just because his son asked him to look at his 360. Honesty...

You'd be surprised how often sh** like this happens within families. There is a family that lives in my hometown in which the father tried to shoot the son years ago but only hit his hair (they were both adults and the son had really long hair just FYI). Currently, I'm employed as a 911 dispatcher and we get calls all the time about messed up stuff like this. Family members assaulting each other, trying to kill each other. This kinda stuff happens more often on the holidays than any other time. People start getting together with family members they don't care for and start getting boozed up and then all hell breaks loose. It sickens me the way a great portion of our society acts nowadays.
That's why u shouldn't have a gun in the house...creativemindedThats why Rednecks shouldn't have a gun in the house. :Fixed:
[QUOTE="lego863"]madnessMagisterBurnerMadness? This is XBBBBOOOOOOOOOOOOXXXXX!!!
Because if it's illegal, all you are doing is keeping the normal people from owning them.
Drugs are illegal, people get those super easy, alcohol is illegal for people to drink under 21 here, but I know more kids that drink than adults. Guns being illegal = someone who wants a gun for self defense is screwed. Tell me this, if someone is already willing to kill someone, why wouldn't they be willing to illegally get a gun? Does that not click in your head that a person who will do a worse crime wouldn't do a small crime? It's not a shock if a mass murderer stole a car sometime in his life, so yeah.

Very true. Making guns illegal will just leave law biding citizens unprotected from gun wielding criminals.
As for the story, I'm sure it did happen. However, there must be more going on. The 'xbox' thing just started the fight. These 2 people must be emotionally disturbed. So anything could've caused them to blow up at eachother.
I live in britain = I don't research guns and the damage they do, why should you not ban guns in america? I can't think of a single reason.tylea002
2nd Amendment to the Constitution, Bill of Rights – Right to keep and bear arms.
Why? Should you have this right?
Plain and simple: A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the People to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.
People have the right to own weapons in the United States. It is our God given right. Its for protection, not only from others, but was also intended to give us protection from the government, so that in the event the government ever oppressed the people, the people could rise against it, much like the colonists did against the British.
Guns dont kill people. People kill people.
Its a stupid and crazy thing for a dad to do. But still its only a .22. most pistols are .45. But he shot the kid in the head. But i wonder if his 360 got red rings of death thats he told him to look at him.:P
anyone else hear the banjo playing? Damn redneck trash. "Here daddy shoot me with this here 22, since you wont look at me xbox game thingy!"
1.why did the son have a loaded rifle in the house? 2.why did the father allow this? 3. why was he so concerned with his dad looking at his xbox? and 4. WHY did the father actually pull the trigger? He should have just smacked the kid and told him to STFU!
LOL
Only thing I got to say to about this is "white people". Crazist people in the world. I cant go to school, work, mall or at church or I might just run into one of them.

Ok, Thatquote really pisses me off, butim going to try and be nice..... If someone else had a firearm in the house they could have prevented the event from occuring. Where I used to live, If I didnt have a firearm, I'd be dead. I have had firearms save my life. Not to go into details, but basicly because my parents taught me responsibility and proper use of a firearm, i was not harmed inan inncident that could have harmed me, or possibly ended my life.
Its really hard for me not to wish terrible things upon you for having a problem with firearms.......
no i dont waish a ban on guns...if you wish that then you are a **** wouldnt you want something to defend your home with if someone robs it besides your fists...obviously a robber will be more scared of a gun then your weak little handsHellRazer360
thank you!
[QUOTE="Robertoey"][QUOTE="josmith16"]Just because people in England don't have any common sense isno reason for us to ban weapons in the United States. If you people had any common sense to begin with you wouldn't be making stupid statements. Oh, my new stupid statement. I think youshould ban soccer in England sincetheEnglish get in big fights and people end up getting killedbecause of crowd control insoccer matches over there.I'm all for banning that dumb sport over in the United States too. Oh, yeah, why we needguns over here. We need this to defend England every time that get their dumb butts in a jam. Since they don't seem to be able to defend themselves. Go back to sleep England.Tamashii-sosaku
As a non-British person, you know how powerful their military is, right?
We'll send Captain Price over in his Ghillie suit to mess you up.

The NRA represents the deadly consequences of protection. The point is, it isn't collective and/or mutual protection and you are going to manage to kill or injure people. And while it may protect you, easy access to weaponary only raises the possibility of hostile situations. Alas, it is a paradox and if thought about thoroughly, the absence of weaponary actually gives more to protection.
This, of course, is just my theory.

I completely agree with that statement. I think I know why this arguement led toa hundred of posts... it's because most ofyouare dreaming of a perfect world! Well let me tell you something, that ain't gonna happen.

Introduce his face to your baseball bat. I find it amazingly ironic when people try to defend owning guns by saying they need guns to protect themselves from other people with guns.
In England you can get a rifle with a hunting license. But the idea is that you have to prove that hunting is a part of your livelihood. There's no reason why the U.S. couldn't just do the same thing. America is about the only country in the entire developed and civillised world that permits the ownership of guns and denies its people free health care. A pretty nasty combination.
ZING!!!!
that is a very true statment

Thanks. While we cannot create a perfect world for us to live in, we can sure as hell try our best to be satisfactory to our generation and the next. This world is not given to you by your parents, but loaned by your children; therefore, just aswe are supposed to leave something in good condition when we borrow stuff from someone, we leave this world in good condition for our children.
