Gamespot hit it right on the nose as 8.5. I didn't like the Mult-player at all and the game was short but the Story and voice actting was so outstanding (Perfect)it's a good buy just to see the story.

The voice acting in this game is legendary. I still can't believe that The Darkness's voice is Mike Patton's actual voice by itself with no added synthesizers or other effects whatsoever. Is that guy human?Zeliard9

I'm a huge Mike Patton fan, He's a musical god. I've heard he's going to be doing more game voiceovers in the future. I plan to pick this game up tonight and having Mike on the voiceovers is an additional incentive to me. Other Patton music to check out: Fantomas, Tomahawk, Peeping Tom.MacaroniMoses

Well, he can definitely do some cool things with his voice, so it doesn't surprise me if other developers are trying to use his particular talents. It's like... it's hard to explain unless you've played through a good chunk of the game. His voice in the game changes pitch and tone depending on what he's saying and the situation, and it's just so deliciously creepy (especially in surround sound). If I had to imagine what an evil demonic creature sounded like, well, it would probably sound something like Mike Patton as The Darkness. It's legitimately good acting on his part, not just a cool-sounding voice.

the darkness is worth it, the God of War games are short too. I beat the first God of War in around 6 hours but didnt regret buying it, the darkness lasts around 10 so ya, go buy it!!kevy619

LOL Gods Of War took me forever to beat, maybe 20 hours atleast, i kept freaken dieing

I think it is a bad buy, good game but bad buy. Its a one time game as in you'll probably only beat the story once and move on. Its too bad they didn't put a good multiplayer in.nygiants1080

But the story is just outstanding,

The game juststarts off at a million miles an hour. It's a total roller coaster ride. I bought it on day one and I still have yet to finish it, but so far I feel justified in spending $60. The graphics, voice-acting, overall quality of the game is top notch. The story, cut scenes, voice-acting. It is something special thatvery, very few video games have, but this games really nails it. Very high production value. For example, the actual actors motion captured their scenes to be used IN GAME. The game has an authentic, unique feel for a FPS. Buy the game, you WILL NOT regret it.
