I have a question about saving in Dead Rising, if you want to quit and choose save status and quit, then my save goes away, but if I just save normally then go back to the 360 Dashboard and re-enter, my save stays, what the hell do i do, if i want to go back to the main menu and NOT lose my save?! and does this happen to anyon else?

saving status just saves ur lvl and stats, and lets u restart the story with ur stronger frank, if u want to save the game and keep playing from the same spot u have to save at a bathroom or the security room

Thats the way the game works, "Save status and QUIT," means just that...you save your characters' status, and you quit, to start the game over.  You will now start from the beginning with your character at the level you saved him at.  Thats its intended function, might not make sense now, but when you get farther into the game and you realize ahh crap im nto a high enough level to do something, or because you missed a time or something, you can simply start over, with your character at the level hes at. Starting over sucks yea...but it beats starting your character over at level 1.  To save normally, just use the couch in the security room, or a bathroom, then itll ask you to continue or end, just hit end and thatll end your game.  Or do like what you said, Save, and then just exit out to the dashboard.  DONT hit "save and quit," unless, you literally want to save and QUIT.
