Custom themes. But it won't happen because they need to charge for everything, thats why they won't let you use your usb drive, and why they change the controler ports. its all about the money.tsylord
I have my own theme, i dont understand what you mean u can get pictures from an ipod or stream them via ur PC
- Better online servers and problems (like too much loading)
- They should add alot more xbox originals.
- Add better xbox live arcade games such as some of the nintendo 64 ones if possible.
- This is a must add on - allow the hard drive to download content from usb flash drives and other external hard drives. My brother always uses the external hard drive to watch videos and he wants to save it to the 360 hard drive but he cant.
btw how do you add contacts on your msn messenger no nvm How do you chat with others when you are signed in on msn messenger on your xbox 360?
RakinR
never gonna happen the wii already has that and plus its nintendo.
honestly I think the marketplace is crap since the last update. and it needs a section for free stuff:P
and like others mentioned: group chat, more vision cam abilities, maybe a webbrowser.
for games: every online game should have dedicated servers! and ingame muting!

Forgot about dedicated servers excellent point. Our $50 should be going towards dedicated servers and not straight into the pockets of the company.

I dont even know what the problem is. PC games have dedicated servers for a long time now.
Edit: without paying for it..
Id like to see another thing in the future.
gamerzones should be updated. Id like to see some serious work on that. example: the ability to choose a prefered gamerzone in matchmaking before searching for games so you get matched with people with the same gamerzone depending on your mood.

Yes, but very few of the PC games servers are hosted by the actual company. A lot of servers you join on games like counter-strike and TF2 and the sorts are privately owned and hosted servers, of which specific people have admin and the sorts. Someone out there is paying for the server. Or so, I have been raised to believe.
Make your gamerscore useful. Your gamerscore could be used as currency to purchase extra items to add to your dash. Examples:

Yes someone pays for those dedicated servers out of their own pockets on PC but what the hell do we pay Microsoft for on the 360? What is it for them to store all of our Gamer Card info, update the marketplace, add new advertisements to the blades on the dashboard? Microsoft has all the games use person to person matches with one players internet to act as a host server, its virtually maintence free and doesn't cost MS a nickel.
Just make the guide faster. It's slow, and takes a while to come up. I want it to be so fast, so i can read a message in the middle of a game in like 2 seconds. I don't wanna have to find somewhere to hide, take 4 seconds to open it up, another 3 to get to messages, and then five more to view it. It should be incredibly fast.
And give it full fnctionality of the 360 dashboard like view marketplace and stuff like that

We pay for:[QUOTE="sameo99"]-allow hard drives to be changed without ban
-InvertedOutput
So wait, changing your hard drive results in ban? Because I let friends come over and play on my TV, and they just plug in their hard drive and play their saved games. none of us want to dish 50 or so bucks out to get a memory card. if ban is the case though... they can play @ home :x
in ps3 you can take a laptop harddrive, fix it up a little and put it in your ps3. If you do that, by formatting your hard drive to some wierd format, and manage to get by all the stupid things microsoft has put in the way, you will get banned on xbox live :)
Faster Xbox Guide
No Ads On Dash Board for gold members
Copy music of usb onto harddrive
And better quality of service so that the XBL servers don't crash again.

We pay for:All of those things you just mentioned are things that the entire infrastructure of the system is built before anyone ever played. They don't need to keep up things like GamerZone because all that is is just a word on your gamer card it doesn't do anything. Once Rep and Prefer avoid is implemented it is essentially self sustaining because once the infrastructure is their on the system every thing is automatic. Cross game invite is the same, the community is built from the ground up before anyone ever signed on it isn't something that needs to be tinkered with after that unless they do a dashboard update. The whole Major Nelso and Trixie buisness is something that is frivolous and useless, I don't think our money every year should go to Major Nelson so he can keep a blog and make a few short videos here and there. Point being is every point you made other than the Live Community Major Nelson stuff are things that Microsoft developed before 360 launched and requires little to no maintaining because it is all automatic. There isn't some guy deep beneath Microsoft headquarters filing everyones Rep reports and preferred players. There was a computer built that handles all that stuff automatically, if your saying our money goes towards keeping it plugged then fine.
It is alright that we pay, it gets us things like the annual updates and patches etc, but it is overpriced compared to how much work the actual infrastructure of Live requires since most things are automatic. Maybe if part of our subscription went to keeping the system updated and the other portion went to keeping game servers going than $50 is fine. But really we should only have to pay like $20 for what we get out of the deal.
The community gamer nights do you really think it costs them money? All they do is put a message up on Xbox.com saying hey all girls play this game this night, or families play this game this night. Thats it, thats all it is. For how blindly loyal you seem to be to Microsoft how can you not know that?
[QUOTE="sarmini"]I think it needs to have guide functionality in Original games, and to be faster.

Agreed. Xbox Live Dashboard is so effing slow it pisses me off to no end. PS3's menu/dashboard screen works flawelessly and incredibly smoothly. Things like this actually make me embrace the PS3 more. It's all about touch/feel/ user interface baby. The smoother the better. Apple has proved it over and over again.
too bad psn sucks huh?
