So really all your saying is that you like realistic shooters more... You know those games were you go down in 2-3 hits and it emphasises strategy and using great team tactics right? Well i can say that in most of the games i have played that try to be realistic like that... it isn't anything like that (besides going down in 2-3 hits). In counter-strike (not the most realistic, but when yuo compare it to Halo it is) people would kill an 8 person team by themselves. I have never played a game of Ghost Recon that ever ended up with our team forming strategies and what not and what it really came down was the sniper hidden in a bush that gunned down 3-6 guys. Now you may say that is realistic, but can't we do that in Halo 3?
Now you say that Halo has went down over the years and has become worse. I ask you how? How can a game that never changed its formula get worse? It doesn't. It is more that you EXPECT more and WANT more and when that may not happen (for me it has) you dislike the end product.
I'm not saying Halo 3 is the best game in the world, but in all honesty how can you dislike a game when you liked the almost exact same game back in 2001? Its like the people that said they hate Halo 3s game and then after 5 minutes they said it plays exactly like Halo 2 and thats why they didn't like that game. Honstly did you think the game was going to be completely revamped in 3 years? If you didn't like the 1st game then there is a great chance you won't like the next one.
Now that doesn't work the other way. If you like the 1st there is a 50-50 chance you won't like the 2nd one. The main reason is because you get high expectations and with the Halo series they are some of the most unreachable expectations for a game.
You say you think Halo has gotten worse when it doesn't change its formula, yet you think other franchises are getting better when they don't change their formula either.
