i just ran a cable but it was a pain in the ass since my router and my 360 were in opposite corners of my house; on different friggin floors.

Don't run a cable, that just looks bad. I have the original Xbox Adapter from Xbox 1 and it works great. Cost me $100 bucks back a few years ago, but you can buy it for cheaper now on Ebay.

The good thing about ethernet is the connection. I have a cable running about 50 feet. I installed cable covers along the ceiling corner to hide it.

I have my 360 in my room sitting next to my PC, my Mac, and my laptop dock. They are all connected via vga using a KVM switch. I share the connection from my pc to my mac and my 360 over a 32 port professional ethernet switch.

I can't tell you the specifics because I am using Vista and I assume you are running XP. If you are running Vista I can tell you exactly how. For XP, you just connect up the two from one ethernet port and the other, then just right click the little dual computer picture and go to network connections. Then right click on your working wireless connection and click share this connection. Again, I am not 100% that is how you do it

Go to Network Connections in the Control Panel, right click the wireless network, and choose Properties. Under the Advanced tab, check the box that says 'Allow other network users to connect through this computer's Internet connection.' Now you just have to run a cable from the laptop to the Xbox and the 360 will recognize it as a wired network.

i have to run a 25 ft. wire from my bedroom through the hall way to my tv in the living room every time i jump online. its worth all the b.s. rather then spending the money.
