Since people are giving out advice on weapons, here goes my tips:
- Don't use the scopes for any weapons other than the sniper rifles. High capacity mags are your friend for any weapon.
- Power over tricks. C4's and Grenades/Incendiaries tend to come more in hand, specially since you have a crew with 10 smoke bombs and flash bombs that you can abuse of. In multiplayer, the three offensive are even more important.
- See what you're better at. Do you have an iron-hard aim, thus justifying the use of more precise weapons, such as sniper rifles and rifles, or are you the gun's-blazing (which is quite difficult to be in this game) style, which fits more with shotguns and sub-machine guns/light machine guns.
As a reference, here's what I carry in my pack - though, be warned, much of the weapons you choose should be chosen depending on the situation. A sniper rifle in a map like Villa is very hard to manage, but you'll be scoring a ridiculous ammount of kills at a map like Oil Refinery or even Import/Export):
- Famas + High Capacity Mag. (or G3KA4, MP5N, Aug Para, a few other rifles or more precise sub-machine guns)
- SR-25 SD* + 6x Scope.
- Raging Bull.
- C4.
- Frag Grenades or Incendiaries.
*This overtakes other sniper rifles because you don't have to click another bullet after each shot, and it has a silencer. If you can more or less narrow down the middle of your screen, you can do the incredibly annoying blind-shot kills with it. That means you can kill oponents at the other side of the map without popping your face and aiming (Terrorist Hunts and Story Mode make this easy by having a small cross-hair even when you're stuck to the wall, which is equivalent to where you'd shoot. It's 100% precise, so if you get a double-aim (you HAVE to be double-aiming to have a chance at scoring a hit with this blind fire) correctly, nothing will make you miss).
