Okay so i have had a couple discs now that get like a circular mark all aorund the disc?

Is it due to poor venitlation or what but its destroyed my call of duty 2 and i dont want it happening to COD4

That's probably a scratch. Did you move your 360 while it was on?

U must have moved ur Xbox while it was on Lie it flat next time

Also the scratchsare alot less deep then they look a scratch remover at ur local stotre will take them right off

it usualy happens when the 360 gets moved when its playing something.

The scratches happen when the disc gets un-aligned and rubs against the lens of the dvd drive.

So you are saying if you don't move your 360 you will not get the scratches? Why would anyone move their 360? I never moved my regular xbox.

How can you make sure the disc doesn't get un-aligned and rubs? Is there a warning of some kind? Can you tell right when it happens or do you find out after the damage is done?

360s lack the standard disk locking system which prevents this so someone walking passed the unit while its working can be enough to ruin a disk.

this problem usually happens when the console is vertical what has happened is that when you insert your game disc into the drive you are not aligning it correctly with the two "teeth" at the bottom of the disc outmark.
