I love it. But to make it better, developers need to give a reason to unlock these achievements like Halo 3 and Mass Effect did. Then I REALLY want the achievements.

no it doesnt, it may add on replay value but does not make it more addicting, what does the score represent certainly not talent. It should be like COD4 where you gain certain things unlockble things like weapons or other stuff etc.

to me, it actually makes me get more out of a game because usually when i play a game and i finish it, i dont play it ever again, it just sits there unless there is multiplayer in it which will keep me busy for alittle while but the achievements kept me going for both modes

I enjoy getting achievements, but not all of them there are some impossibles one most of them are in Gears of War, but i'm proud of my gamerscore, really shows that i'm a true gamer, i can play almost every genre. 8)

It makes me play more. And sometimes the achievements come before the game.

Achievements just prove how much of a dork you are...

Waste of time to me, I play a game for fun not for some ranking that only matters to complete dweebs. Now if achievements are linked to unlocking content then I would probably just do those ones and thats it.

That's not necessarily true, I have a relatively high gamerscore but it's because I play a lot of games and looking on 360voice, I only have 30% of the possible achievements I could have

I like the achievent system on the 360. Definitely adds another dynamic to a game. Sadly though, i find myself picking a 360 version of a game over the PS3 version strictly to get achievements (COD4, Assasins Creed & Oblivion). Achievements over framerate for me :/

Achievements are pointless, its fun to get some achievements but I dont need them, I have a friend who is hell bent on getting every achievement possible and one time I said "alright man lets go your not gonna get it right now" and he smashes his gamepad into pieces looked dead into my eyes with like SATANIC anger and SCREAMED "*U** YOU, YOU ****ING SUCK AT VIDEOGAMES ANYWAY YOU STUPID ******* ****"

I was like O__O WHOA!

Like others, I like the achievements that unlock things. But, after I play a game I like to go back and try to reach the achievements..... only for replay value though. I really don't care what my gamerscore is.

I feel like they add a little more fun to the games.

well, it's not the point a Addiction. lol. it just give you something more out of a game. and really it makes you feel kinda good when you accomplished the goal. i mean after all games cost 60-70 now. so hey adding achievements is really great.

I wish they didn't make online ones impossiblely time consuming or make most of the achievments online then have noone ever play it (FEAR is a big culprit). And as for the single player ones it would be better if there was a challenge but not frigging impossible to the point I don't ever even want to try.
