I never give any rep because it takes to much of my time. Besides, I'm usually the one being disrespectful and thats always fun. If you get your feelings hurt you need to slap your parents and tell them that they failed as care givers for leaving you without a sense of humor. If you can't take the heat go back and raise some animals in viva pinata.
yeah I dish out alot of hate aswell online because its fun to do and stirs up some conversation and conpetative spirit. I think I only give bad rep if I get kicked from a room or if someone is obviously cheating.

Wow that was pretty arrogant. Its not always someones fault that their internet sucks. When I am at my house I have a perfect connection but if I am at school in my dorm my connection is terrible because I am sharing it with 500 people. I can't control that nor can spending money for something other than "Save-A-Lot" internet service do anything about it. Also most people on Live are probably teenagers whose parents decide what internet service they have.
i give people bad rep for cheating, team killing and quitting early. But most abuse the rep system just because they get owned or lose a game and trash talk them when they started it. its funny i glad its not the end all be all.
i do all the time on gears of war....any glitching, racism, trash talk, early quiters, annoyingness (is that a word lol), any thing that pisses me of basically i will give bad rep...maybe even a file complain as well
There has only been one occasion when I gave a bad rep, by the way. The guy refused to change my team in ultimate alliance (I actually play with all the characters on it), made us all go around like idiots, and, the worst part, quit on us after 10 min of flying, double jumping, or swinging. The fact that that was one of my first experiences with xbox live further pissed me off, so he got a bad rep for it. As for me, no one bothers, since I don't play much co-op anyways, so I'm neutral, for now.
i don't give that many bad reps. only if they quit in a game. espiecally in halo3, and sports games. but otherwise if they play right and not annoying i'll most likely give them good rep 100%
I only do if they quit early are say stupid things. I don't need to hear little buyspretending to be men talking tough and cursing. I just want to play the game. I don't quit early. I did once, and deserved the bad rep I got for it. I take my beatings now, no matter how bad they are. I've played on some truly bad teams and gotten mad, but I don't quit. I haven't really given any rep in awhile, good or bad. I should though. There are some people on COD4 I want to play with.
I just never play 1 on 1 games cos i use to play svr and pro a lot i never used bad language, trash talked and never quit early but a get bad rep for it. So i just give up on it.
Yea, I'll give bad rep for glitching , if they are jerks or not playing right, or trash talking too much will get it from me, if I wouldn't want to play with them again, that means they did something. So if giving bad rep to someone like that will lessen the chances of being put in the same game as them , that is when I'll do it - only when they deserve it.

Me too. I've probably given more "good" rep than "bad" rep. I hit anyone that uses profanity/racism toward another player with "bad" rep. I don't care if you swear about an event in the game, though. I also submit bad rep when someone is just an *** (three letter word for donkey) and berates his/her teammates. I usually select the "not very good" category (or whatever it's called).It's my hope that this ticks off these arrogant ***es.
My main motivation, though, is to avoid having to play with these players again.
I'm also not a fan of submitting bad rep for quitting early in all non 1 vs. 1 games. The only two times I quit are when the connection fails (not my fault) or my spouse needs me to take the baby. If the latter is the case, then I have no problem leaving my CoD4 teammates 7 vs. 8 in a respawn game. If playing GoW, then I try to ask my spouse to let me finish. But in the end, it's all about priorities.

i dont think it even works though...if you look at my rep it says 66% avoided me and 33% prefered me...but i know 100% that the only time i was put down in rep was in the halo 3 beta where i killed a second after the game had finished and he started team killing my friend in the next game so i killed him...then got booted (it was the dumbest thing ever)...but yeah it was this guy and his friend...2 ppl and i know ive told my friends to give me good rep and they have and the stupid number still doesnt change...oh well
I do toexpress my annoyance with a person, not that it actually holds a function, but at least I'll know i avoid the person should he appear again in a game or so.
Unfortunately, the only way to avoid someone is to give negative feedback. So i do give it out to anyone that i dont want to play with again. Screamers, trashtalkers that cant back it up, glitchers......DZBricktop
Which is my main reason for giving the neg, to try and avoid being teamed with or against them again. Why would I want to play with the same glitchers, racists or whatever over and over again?
I get bad rep because of quitting early. I dont find it fair though, since I have to go do something, I dont just feel like quitting the game. If Microsoft had some kind of function to detect early quitters, and if they sign off of XBL right after, I don't believe they should get the bad rep. Thats just my opinion.
I hardly ever give bad rep. Only when the guy is clearly team killing.
Usually, in sport games, i give bad rep to players who quit early when i'm schooling them. Mainly, becuase its that they're cheating me out of a win so ill cheat them with their loss being bad rep. Which btw, does absolutely nothing if you think about it...

I don't usually give it for that reason. I know its annoying, but often times connections drop and such, which has happened to me a lot actually, and I don't think someone should get bad rep for something that is out of their control.
It's funny how they always seem to 'lost connection' when they're down 3 goals going into the third and never when they're winning. hmmm
Well considering its happened to me WHEN I was winning... several times actually...
I give bad rep to cheaters, glitchers, and anyone badmouthing or using excessive foul language. I don't really mind swearing because I swear too. It's only when they use it against others like berating people for losing a match or using the N word.
I have received some bad rep myself for stupid reasons like beating someone in a ranked Street Fighter II match. Stop jumping at me and I'll stop using my Dragon Punch. Why would I go easy on them in a ranked game? It happened often and the same people giving me bad rep also would DC so my win/loss record looked much worse than it should have.
You might have some bad rep just because you played with some sore losers.
