No. There are hundreds of free ones on marketplace, even more if you are on US live because of the region restrictions, and now with the avatar editor you can make your own. Also there are quite a few you can unlock by playing various games or earning certain achievements.

I only buy them if I have points left over and there's nothing I want to buy. I can't stand having points just sitting on my account, I have to spend them.
Rare Classic Picture Pack 2 and Burnout Revenge Picture Pack 3 are my two favorites. I do not buy gamerpics anymore, but now I purchase Premium themes.
the only ones that I ever bought were the Banjo Kazooie and Banjo Tooie ones, and even in those I only ended up using one of them so it was kinda a waste :P
Yeah, on occasion with left over points. The first thing people see is your gamer pic so I like switching it up. Themes no cause the menus block the background. (I love the customization of the PS3 menu, leagues ahead of the 360 and free!!!) I buy videos for sure, I like having my favorite episodes of my favorite shows accessible when I want and commercial free.
I've bought a few actually. One for Dead Rising because the bloody Servbot face is the best thing I've ever seen,Dishwasher to support the developer,and BlazBlue since it has every character and I'm really excited for this game's console release.
yeh i do. depending on what it is tho. anything Hitman, Max Payne, Batman, or Prince of Persia i must get :P. I'm trying to stick with the ones i have for now tho. as for themes, same thing. but now with the NXE update that kinda takes thepoint out of it since you can hardly see the back ground (off the market place or your own). I was thinking about buying a Mass Effect (Premium Theme) but i would rather buy some videos instead, and stick with the Hitman Contacts BG i already have.

lol... No, I don't buy them nor would I use left over points for them. I just let my left over points accumulate over time and sooner or later i have money to spend on an arcade game or dlc. They seem like such a waste of money imo. Especially sinces there a good amount of free ones. I would have to have money to just throw away to spend it on gamerpics. I don't buy themes either.
That's a great reason to buy one... Plus that game is pretty sweet... I only played the demo version. How is the full version? Is it long? I usually like 2d side scrolling games like this. I bought and enjoyed Alien Hominid HD and this game shares some of the same characteristics as far as 2d side scrolling gameplay goes
