I do try to get the limited edition games. But it depends how much money I have to spend.
While im talking about limited edition games, does anyone know a website that lists all the limited edition games and forthcoming ones?

In most cases the LEs don't include anything that mitigates the higher price. The making videos aren't of that much interest to me, same goes for figuries, art-book and so on. A hard case might be worthwhile, but then I do pretty god with the plastic covers, so that's a non-issue..so I guess bottom line, I'd rather save the money on a LE and spend that on another game..
No special editions for me. My buddy payed $140 for the same game that I payed $60 dollars for.

What game was that?

I was thinking it was that. I would never pay that for a game even if it has a spartan helment in there.
I'll only get a game limited edition, If it has something nifty in it. For mmo's it is ok because you get a extra pet or something fun. For single player games I could care less about a tiny little art book. However what games should do is include the prima strategy guides with the limited edition's to justify the money.Chaism
I like that idea. Some games are nearly impossible without a decent guide to help you on your way.

Ya,I know some games would give you a preview of the guide little like first level walkthrough, So imagine for say 20$ more you get the guide and all the dvd making of and like a shirt. It would drive the sales of the limited edition pre orders and boost the sells of guides. Cause with online these days im not so sure many pay 20$ for a hard copy instead of just take a peak online.
i only buy the limited edition if the game is worth it.. like i did for Halo 2:: kinda worth it ;)
I was going to buy the one for Oblivion but i couldnt wait..
What do you think about the GTA IV special edition?Neontope
there is a lot of stuff.. but i wanna see how the game performs though
The only ones I got were a few on PC, and Lost Planet. Unless the junk is good junk or cool in-game junk, it's not worth the extra $10 or more for the metal box. I will be getting the Mass Effect one though.
PC games usually offer far more/better junk, but it also is nostalgic because in the olde days PC games always came with loads of stuff in huge boxes. The biggest one I remember was the Ultima X Dragon Edition.
It depends what the game is and who is making it.
The only recent limited editions or collectors was:
Bioshock
and
World of Warcraft Burning Crusade.
But blizzard does an outstanding job..
not a 360 game but w.e
All depends on the game.
Halo 3, Assassins Creed, Mass Effect, BioShock, GTAIV= yes
Call Of Duty, Madden, Need For Speed, other yearly games = no

Always the most limited edition, no matter the price for me. As for where to find LEs, just check the future releases at the EB website.
Depends on the game the only LE's ive bought are Halo 3 and Gears of War. Im buying the Call of Cuty 4 LE. Basically i just have to really know im going to love the game.grunt1096
thats my main reason aswell. If Im 1000%positive that Im gonna love the gamebefore I buy it and it has some cool stuff included (eg.big daddy figurine for Bioshock, Tshirt for Gears), than Im happy to pay the extra bucks for a LE.
so far I have these LE's: Halo2,Gears,Bioshock,Forza2. Forza2 had nthing included only a bigger booklet with some dev.interviews and car/track stats, but I didnt pay extra money for it.
