I used to, hence the gamercard, but in the past 4/5 months I think i've only got about 1,500 GS and I play games for fun now, and ranking up online games etc. A lot less stressful and more importantly you get the best out of your game.mccloskey-14
good point
i play cod4, tf2, halo online all the time, knowing i wont get achievements

Oddly enough, I thought gamerscore was currency for the Xbox LIVE marketplace before I went online. Now that I know the truth, I just wonder if there really is a point to these points other than to show off.
I don't rent or buy games to up my gamerscore, that's kinda silly. But getting achievments is satisfying and fun. So, yeah, I care to some extent.
Well I been at 150,000 for like a month but normally I try to get as many as possible.

Crikey, 150,000?
its fun to get achievements:)

Same. I just like hearing that little sound knowing that I unlocked something.
It comes and goes. Sometimes I do and then get burned out for a month or so and then come back and hit it hard for a while.
No I do not care about them. Not like I hate them or anything they just mean nothing to me personally but I do like seeing an achievement pop-up after I unlock it.
Achievements allow for every game, regardless how bad or linear, to have moderate - extreme amounts of replay value. That's why I like them.
Not really, I usually just try to pass the game and whatever achievements I earn along the way is a bonus.
i didnt when i frist got my xbox but when i beat all of my games and could not afford to buy anymore thats when the gamerscore really mattered. it was more incentive to play through them all again.it really adds to the replay value if you want to get all the achievents you can.
lol gotta love a vegeta reference itd make a nice mottoI do, but honestly I don't play my Xbox enough to get it up that high. My lifetime Xbox goal is probably to get my score above 9000.
Just so I can say it's OVER NINE THOUSSSAAAAND!!!
Murj
I think it shows shows someones skill in a sense. in some games they actually take skill to pull of and i feel good when i put off a one.
I dont go to the extent of actually buying or renting a game for achievements (unless its under 10 dollars) but i would say im rather obesessed with them.

Same here, I think renting or buying games just to boost achievements is stupid. Achievements show what kind of gamer you are, not the gamerscore.

I also made that same blunder. It would be so much better if that was the case though, my score is only 500 something over four games. It'd feel more like a reward if you were able to use those gamerscore points to buy new extras for the games you love.
