I play the game all of the way through if I like it. Although some games I actually rush through them if they have a great story without doing all of the sidequests. The second playthrough is when I really take my time to explore everything.

That's like keeping half a sandwich for 5 or 6 months because you won't be making another one any time soon.

I normally play all the way through. Although, with COD4 I was so into the multiplayer that I didn't complete the campaign until about a year after I got it. But I'm gonna play MW2 straight through for sure. Can't wait.

This is a strange question, and this seems like the right answer

Depends on how long the game is. If it's a shooter or an action adventure game I'll likely finish it in a few sitting over the course of a week. If it's an rpg then it'll probably takes me a couple months with a few breaks in between.

If it's a lengthier game, something along the lines of Oblivion, then yes. Otherwise, I try to finish every game I play. In some cases, waiting too long just makes me forget how to play and makes it that much harder to pick up again without starting over.
