[QUOTE="bubnux"]An absolutely great controller, aside from the D-pad from hell. It is God's way of punishing me for enjoying videogames.kyle-244whats wrong with the d-pad?I have to agree about the D-pad.It feel's a lilttle mushy and It's not as accuarate. But atleast It's nothing like the PS D-pad which was really terrible, compared to that It's a dream.
Original? You're joking right? Wow people need to learn their roots. Sega essentially ripped off button scheme and layout from Super Nintendo and switched the A & B buttons around and added their L and R for the Dreamcast, which were ripped off by M$ who added two bumpers and switched around Y and X, I beleive simply to screw with seasoned gamers like myself when in a quick time event etc. So if you love your 360 controller ( and why not, it's great aside from the D-pad) remember to thank Nintendo next time you see them.360's controller is original, nice, small and confortable so yeah i luv the 360's controller

Not a street fighter player obviously. It only holds you back when playing a game where you actually use the D-Pad, try Tony Hawk Project 8 for 360, then PS3 and see which one you score higher on.

I have played project 8 for the 360, you dont have to use the d pad hardly at all, and when I did I didnt really find anything wrong with it, but thats my opinion and we all have one
For me, it seems to be the one thing holding me back from buying a 360. I really want Gears and Dead Rising, but the controller seems a bit bulky with unusual-placed analog sticks. Or have I been playing PS2 too much? SergeantSnitchController is almost perfect. They could have still kept the bumper buttons and brought back the black/white buttons also. But as it stands now I have no real issues with it.
The analog sticks are well placed, the only thing you really have to get used to is the bumpers on the top of the controller. Its a great controller that is very comfortable, the only problem is that the D-Pad can be sticky and uncooperative at times. penguinwarrior3i agree, getting used to the bumpers imo, is a whole lot better than those black and white buttons on the original. Also i agree wtih the d-pad. Quite annoying when trying to play fighting games

SergeantSnitchI thought that but the first time i played the 360 it was like the controller was molded around my hands, it was perfect and the analogue sticks are in exactly the right place. Try out a 360 kiosk and hold one cuz they are really nice. Yea, I played Gears at my friends house. I don't remember how I was holding the controller but it did seem kinda off. I think it's cause I've played Playstation for so long. Hmm... yeah dont worry, thats how it was for me too, but now, it just feels perfect
For me, it seems to be the one thing holding me back from buying a 360. I really want Gears and Dead Rising, but the controller seems a bit bulky with unusual-placed analog sticks. Or have I been playing PS2 too much? SergeantSnitchIts the sexiest controller out there man

I've owned a crapload of systems...
intellivision, NES, SNES, N64,ps1, Dreamcast, GC, ps2, Xbox, Xbox 360 and Wii.
Excluding wii because we can't compare it's controller. The 360 is by far the best controller I've ever used. Best analogue placement, best button and trigger placement. Great rumble. Like many have probably mentioned the d-pad isn't the greatest but who in the world cares. I only use the d-pad for like weapon changing and minor options in games. Analogue is where the real control is at.

The 360 controller is so much better than the dualshock.
I never had a xbox, went straight from ps2 to 360.
I tried playing ps2 the other day, but I just was´nt comfortable playing with the dualshock anymore.
This is the best controller on the market IMO.

Or have I been playing PS2 too much? SergeantSnitchYes you have been playing with a PS2 controller too much. The only thing wrong with the 360 controler is the "D" pad,but in 90% of the games you don't use it very often. I've been playing with the PS controller before there was a "dualshock1 and 2" when the original Playstation was the PSX and had no "analog sticks". For me the 360 controller ended up being the best choice since then.

For me, it seems to be the one thing holding me back from buying a 360. I really want Gears and Dead Rising, but the controller seems a bit bulky with unusual-placed analog sticks. Or have I been playing PS2 too much? SergeantSnitchBelieve me, once you get used the the 360 controller you will never go back to being comfortable with the PS2 controllers. The analog sticks are perfectly oriented for dual stick control, whereas the PS2s controller is more meant for D-Pad. And the shape and size fit perfectly into your hands and do not cause any cramping or fatigue, whereas anytime I pick up the PS2 controller for any length of time I cramp up.

Or have I been playing PS2 too much? SergeantSnitchthe controllers is sick, Comfortable and the buttons are placed nicley. If your talking about this cuz u think its the same as the xbo 1 controler, well ita not. The 360 is much smaller and more comfortable and less bulky. Great for fps's
