Some people are angry about this. How about you?

The only people that should be upset are the people that had to own a Sony console, but didn't, to play a Final Fantasy game. Now people with only a 360, or a PS3, can enjoy FF13 without dropping the money to pick up a console for an exclusive game.
Here's my theory:
People get upset when their cherished game(s) loses exlusivability because they feel like exclusives are their reward for being an avid fan of a particular system. By avid fan I mean, this is the console their parents purchased, and as a result they feel the need to defend that console as the very best, regardless of common sense. When a game is no longer exlusive, these types of people (children, or adults with a childish mentality) get upset, throw fits, etc. They feel like they are being screwed over by there favority developer. After all, exclusive games are their reward for only having enough money to enjoy one console, or having the console forced on them by their parents.
I think you'll get a much more positive outcome (Positive being fanboys agreeing with you) in The System Wars forum. I hear there are fanboys there.
well why would someone be mad. Fanboys are funny they swear allegiance to these companies and what they dont get is its all about money. I really crack up when people say stuff like "FF doesn't feel right on a MS console" lol wth is that supposed to mean. When it comes to money anything can happen and the 360 moves more games than any system. thats why the 360 is stealing so many ps3 games.
This is the Xbox 360 forums so why would we hate this? For that matter why would anyone hate this? I guess some people really need to get a life if this truly hurts them in any way.
If more people can enjoy a game, why not?hillelslovakThis, if you own both you have the choice on which system you want it on.
The more love the better, I say. I personally don't care for the FF series... as a whole. But if it has a chance to gain more respect, all for it. On that note, I really don't see anything bad happening if say, Halo, would go to the PS. If I can predict anything (which I can't), Halo'd see a lot less haters. But the Xbox itself would probably suffer. Greatly.
Personally I don't care since I'm not a fan of FF games.
However it is good that the game is multi-plat. People that don't own a ps3 but own a 360 can enjoy the game now.
Oh, good lord. They're sucking this series dry! Honestly, how many games have 12 sequels?!
yx2vy
well actually their not sequels. There has only been one true sequel in the FF series and thats FF-x2. Each game is completely different from the next in terms of story and even gameplay. The only thing they share is the fact that they are rpgs and well some universe stuff like chocobos and stuff.
the people that are angry about this are fanboys..lawlessxExactly, Sony fanboys. There's no reason to get mad about a game being released..lol stupid!! You never hear 360 fans crying about how a game is going to a competitors console..it's always Sony ones crying about things like this..boohoo

Different stories? "Get the crystals! Save the world!"

they are pretty different games and all are good in their own way.
if the yare considered sequels it took them what like 22 years to make 13? its gonna take activision 13 years cuz they make a new one each year..
final fantasy games have a new story and gameplay each game thats why it takes around 2-3 years or more to make one.. especially since they have gone to the ps2 they are really taking their time to perfect the game. it never feels like im playing some mediocre sequel it feels like a new game each time... :)
and to what u said above me the crystals were in the very first ff games lol..
and i had the pre order of this game on xbox 360 originally but i decided to switch the preorder to the ps3 version just cuz i recently got a ps3 and i'd rather play on one disc on a brand new ps3 slim than my xbox which might die on me anytime cuz it's sooo old XD
i will be mad though if special dlc goes to the xbox version only... I could picture it happening too but im hoping it doesn't
The only people who are angry are uneducated Sony fanboys. theres nothing wrong with Final Fantasy XIII being on the 360. The 360 is a great game system so it can't tarnish Final Fantasy's reputation and Final Fantasy XI was already on the 360 so Final Fantasy on the xbox is nothing new. Playstation 3 players still get their game so theres nothing for the ones with functioning brains to complain about. And for those who don't like jrpgs who have 360s don't have to buy the game so they have nothing to complain about. There is virtually nothing wrong with Final Fantasy XIII being on the 360.Some people are angry about this. How about you?

I don't even understand why fanboys are angry about it. Isn't it only natural to want to spread the gospel about something you love? I try to get people to watch Firefly every chance I get because I like being able to talk about it with other people who enjoy it. Final Fantasy was never a Sony exclusive anyway. It was on the NES before it was on the Playstation and even now it's still on the DS. Although, I guess it's just another case of fanboy stupidity. I have both a PS3 and a 360, but I'll be getting FFXIII on the 360 because I'm an achievement whore :P

.....have you actually ever played a FF other than the first couple? Those were the only ones that involved searching for crystals/shards (other than the crappy Crystal Chronicles game on the GCN). Each and every FF game has a completely different story all of which have been very good (aside from X-2). What's wrong with having a lot of games? They're all good. They're all original and unique. I don't see what's wrong with that.
If im going to paly the game, itll be on PS3. For a few reasons:
1. it was lead on PS3 first, meaning if anything itll look Exactly the same or even better on PS3.
2. I dont mind Disc Swapping, but if I can avoid it, I will.
3. Gamespot says from there hands on that the game looked sharper on 360 during the actually gameplay, which is strange because multiple sources have said that the opposite is true, that it looks sharper on PS3. So untill Comaprison sites do there thing, Im going with what most people said.
4. I can see myself palying a FF game on a XBOX. The same reason I cant see myself palying DMC on it.
Anyway, im probaly not even getting the game, but I personally dont care if its on multiple consoles. Jsut as long as Quality wasnt compromised to get it on the other platform.
oh, fanboys are silly. i'm stoked personally, that game looks sick. just another slap in the face for sony fanboys
I don't really care. I'm assuming Square just wants to get this title out to as many people as possible. Maybe this'll get other titlesa dual release as well(Please, KHIII. Hit Wii or 360, please!!!!).
