does anybody kind of regret getting halo 3?

What ev, i'm not saying its wrong that they shouldn't like halo or they shouldn't state their opinions. But Every thread is either "oh nos my xbox broke", "i hate halo 3", "or what should i get cod4 or X game". Theres barely any real discussion.

I'm done with this, later kids.

i dont regret getting halo and i didint stop playing it yet, i just play them both (cod and halo) and im a happy child

Whatever dude, the first post was a impulse rant and the rest were all consistent.

- Its a pretty good solid game but not the best

- Hating topics were cluttering up the boards

- The 360 board itself is cluttered with more or less the same three general topics (RROD, Halo 3 sucking, get cod4 or x game)

- GS should have kept a Halo 3 thread if people are still going to rag on it two months later or people just need to drop it and move to something else. And CoD4 topicsare pretty much the same as Halo 3 sucks topics because 90% seem to go something like )paraphrased of course someone else got pissy for this statement) "CoD4 is teh best, better than Halo 3, I'm never playing that crap again".

Now how is it inconsistent after the initial rant.

One thing to express how you feel, its another to be the 30,000th person to express something. Its old news, there are people who like it and people who don't the people who do don't really need to say anything. Its just getting old seeing 5 of the topics on the xbox page devoted to hating on Halo 3. GameSpot should just have kept a Halo 3 discussion topic and funneled everything into there by locking any topics like this. Its just annoying, the PS3 board is a million times better. They're not wasting their time hating on a game they are actually discussing things and not being like "omg teh worse game evar" "this game is soo much better than that trash I'm selling that and never playin again lolz".Ket87

New games tend to overshadow older games, even games only a few days or weeks old, which is why the holiday season can be really bad.

The reason you feel that Halo 3 is not as cool as COD4 now is because COD4 is newer to you. Had COD4 cmoe out first, then Halo 3 come out now, I think you would be posting a topic about whether people regretted buying COD4 since Halo 3 is so awesome.

New games tend to overshadow older games, even games only a few days or weeks old, which is why the holiday season can be really bad.

The reason you feel that Halo 3 is not as cool as COD4 now is because COD4 is newer to you. Had COD4 cmoe out first, then Halo 3 come out now, I think you would be posting a topic about whether people regretted buying COD4 since Halo 3 is so awesome.

I did regret it because i spent 60 dollars on it good thing i got 45 for it for Call of Duty 4 i mean sure the campaign is short but halo 3's campaign never got me that interested. I mean it's good but not the greatest of all time. Don't banwagen halo 3 fanboys.

eh sort of, the multiplayer is weak campaign is alright it's not what i expected i haven't played it as much as halo CE or 2 but it's good

I wasn't on GameSpot during that period. Still from what I've heard it was probably only one thread if it was a petition. But still yeah their reaction was pretty childish. For the most part they seemed to have learned to live with it. It wasn't a Sony first party title so I don't see what the ruckus was all about Capcom is multi-million if not billion dollar corporation and can do what they want a bunch of DMC fanboys ain't gonna change anything.

Like most of you, I put Halo 3 up on the shelf a long time ago. I was gonna buy Call Of Duty 4 but I went with The Orange Box instead. But I do Intend on checking it out soon.

hey bustasag halo has only been out for like amonth or so. unless amonth counts as a long time you just put up halo 3 recently. i dont have cod4 but i think halo 3 might still win. i have yet to get cod4 i might revise my post after i get it though

i so dont agree. ppl dont like games because they came out a month earlier. halo 3 sucks period. it was a total letdown and couldve been so much better. CoD 4 is so much moreinnovative than halo 3. i say if halo 3 and CoD 4 had switched realeased dates CoD 4 is stillso much better and u cant really compare Cod4 and AC cus there 2 tottally different types of games but im not h8ing on AC because i cant w8 till i get it 2morow

I couldn't start playing Halo again when I realized I couldn't sprint and X was not reload. Too confusing for me.

well i mostly play halo 3 when my roomate is home b/c we can't multiplayer on the same console on-line with COD 4

I don't play it that much, but I don't regret getting it. I think it's a really good product overall, even if it didn't live up to some people's ridiculous expectations.

Keep in mind, however, that I haven't purchased COD4 yet because I'm currently trying to finish the shooters I HAVE first, lol. I've been meaning to finish the R6V co-op stuff, the Halo 3 single-player (via co-op because it's just way more fun that way), just about all of the Orange Box (except Portal)... hell, I've barely touched Quake IV and I've barely touched EDF since I beat medium difficulty.

i dont know why they didn't make call of duty two players online that was kindia gay.halo still is a good game but overhyped it should of been better
