yeah, it was the 1st game I ever got when I bought my 360, but it can get old rather quick. But pick up a used copy. Probably cheap now.K3vinkha0Sme too, but if i hadnt given the 360 another chance i probably wouldnt even have got another game for a while, i played for like 2 hours total... i eventually beat the game and still dont recommend it
I'm playing Dead Rising right now, just got my XBOX 2 months ago and Dead Rising for some weeks ago...'been playing it for around 2 weeks (only 1-2 hours per day) and it's getting better and better. At first I was bugged by the save system but then I realized "hey - you can see where the toilets are on your map - you can save much more often than you thought!" and now I don't have to repeat whole missions, anymore. You just have to get used to look for toilets and save regulary, then it's a lot of fun.
The story is much better than you'd expect, especially the cutscenes and the characters. Voice-acting is very movie-like. But especially the "bosses" are a lot of fun and very unique characters.
I'd say anyone who likes action games should get this game. Slashing zombies has never been so much fun. :)
i bought it when it came out, beat it half a dozen times and traded it in. a few months ago i bought it again and beat it half a dozen times again. one of the best games on 360 imo. *waits for sequel*
the one really annoying thing is that sometimes the survivor ai can be irritatingly stupid. but eventually you figure out how to get them to do what you want.
DR was the first 360 game I got and I still find it very entertaining.
The gameplay is fun and there are seemingly endless ways to kill zombies.
The story is surprisingly good for what it is.
The only thing that REALLY bothered me about the game (besides that after playing it for about a week you will get kinda sick of it have to play something else for a while) was the tiny text.
Nah the text was to small for me -never completed it :(
But I still have it in my collection - buy if you have a good tv.
Dead Rising is a sad story for me. I never got too far into it. I loved the mindless zombie violence, but I just hated the missions! I still have the game and still intend on getting through it later down the line, but the time restrictions really throw me off, as well as the escort missions. I know some people really do love it though.Caddy06_88
I feel the exact same. I was sooo excited for this game, I played the demo almost non-stop. But once the game came out, I was so disapointed at the mission structure. The one thing I hate the most in video games is feeling rushed to do something, so that kindof destroyed Dead Rising for me. I played for 2-3 hours the first night and decided I hated it and sold it on ebay the next day. About a year later I was needing a fix for a zombie game (very similar to what I'm going through now, I need a horror game! haha) so I decided I would give this game a second chance. I got it again, played for the same amount of time and I actually somewhat had fun with it, but the time limits once again made me stop playing. Eh, sad thing is I wanna give it another try since its like teh only zombie game but I'm just gunna save some money for Alone In The Dark, despite all the bad reviews.
And sorry for all the bad punctuation and such, I'm really tired and can't be bothered to fix them. :(
