The cheapest Xbox 360 is the Arcade for $199, but no HDD is included. Dell.com has been having crazy deals on Xbox 360's, but I'm not sure if they have any right now, so I'd just keep checking there.

I think you meant to say "Is it worth it". To answer your question, yes, for Halo alone it's well worth it. Now if you say that your getting Xbox Live, there is no question on whether you should get it or not.

Well while i do love my xbox and i own both a 360 and a Wii, since you already have a ps3 then i would have to say no, in my opinion it isnt worth buying

another console just for exclusives, and i know what i am saying sounds hypocritical but the truth is i dont consider the Wii to be the same kind of

gaming experience as having a 360 or a PS3.

Yes Yes and YEs, there are more great games to get tha just halo and gears, however both to me are the most fun palying shooting games i ve had in a while. Halo is a game that never gest old because theres alwasy updates, new maps and such and halo is the best third person shooter that me or any of my freinds have ever played.

Not really, unless u played the first gears of war and halo 1 and 2 you r a die hard must play fan has given up his job and wife to play theses games more and more. Halo 3 is eh, gears of war 2 felt to close the first game to me. The true power of halo 3 comes from multiplayer. There lots of other good games on 360 u should get like fable 2, mass effect, ninja gaiden 2 and ghost recon advanced warfighter 1.

If those are literally the only games that you want no it is not unless you're a huge fan.

For Halo 3, MOST DEFINITLY. For Gears...please I beg you, do not waste your precious dollars. Halo has been the most consistent shooter ever made I must say. If you can easily adjust to everything and develop some tactics, you will be good at halo. This is simply not the case for Gears as most of the kills are random at best. If you get the 360, buy gears and end up hating it, dont say I didnt warn you. I find it pitiful that if you dont have a power weapon then your melee is the next best thing.

There are other great titles on the 360 other than Halo 3 (I consider Gears to be a flop). Check out the recommendation thread or simply check out the games that have an 7.5 or higher. Most of them deserved that score and some, like Gears, should get a 5 for effort.

Of course it's worth buying a xbox 360 for halo 3 and gears of war 2 and there are other exclusives like forza motorspot 2, mass effect and halo wars. Also if i were you i would sell my ps3 if i didn't play it's exclusives that much because the 360 gets all the multiplatform games and usually also gets exclusive DLC for it.

those games are both good but i wouldnt buy a console just to play em

yeah its worth it, and when your done with both those games, which would be a really long time, you still have a good library of games to choose from

I'm not really sure because most of the games of 360s big hits are already on the PC such as Fable 2 and Mass effect. If you're really dieing to play Gears 2 and Halo 3 then by all means get it but honestly despite how amazing those games are, you have to say to yourself that you're buying a console for only 2 games and I don't see that much 360 exlusive too that aren't already on the PC. I only recommend getting one if you're really planning on playing some games on a HDTV and that is all I have to say.

Gears is on PC so NO. Halo is overrated. If you make good money though whats a few hundred.

its worth paying 200 dollars for a 360 arcade for halo games and gears of war. The reason is that you would spend so much time playing halo with friends and on xbox live. As well as multiplayer on gears of war. I used to be a playstation owner, but ive grown fond of using xbox more than i ever do with playstation. I found more games into the 360 more than the playstation console ever did. So if you have got your hands on halo 3, trust me you'll be glued to the controller more than you think you would. And as for gears of war, you'll play that as much too. They're both amazing games, and both worth getting with your hard earned money. Not only halo and gears of war you'll be playing on the 360, but you'll open more doors to find that theres more games you'll play.

Those games are definitely good but I think there are plenty of other brilliant games that are worth buying an Xbox for.
