Am I alone here? Less then two weeksago I was getting 4-5 stars on the hardest songs on expert on guitar hero 5, with great streaks. I then picked up Rock Band 2 again, didn't do so hot at first. But then I was at the same par I was at with GH. I even did the endless setlist 2 on expert, didn't fail out any song. And now here I am getting 4 stars on beginner songs on GH5!

This isn't the first time this has happened either. I'll go back and forth from playing GH and RB for a while and each time I switch my skill star out mediocre...

What gives? This happen to anyone else?

ps-i've even calibrated both games to the same level

The games have a different angle and speed on the highway, you need to get used to the change first. That's all.

Playing Rock Band makes you used to playing a music game correctly matched to the music, going back to Guitar Hero afterwards you're screwed because of how bad the charting is.

Especially on the easier levels, Guitar Hero just throws up notes all over the place with no rhyme or reason much more frequently then Rock Band

well im a guitar hero fan and will always prefer it more than rockband.

but i borrowed rockband 1 before and played it a whole week

next thing you know i started getting better at rockband than in guitar hero and started losing my awesome skills (XD).

but its the way how the notes and highways are different from each other .

I completely agree. Rockband actually feels like you're playing to the music. Guitar Hero is just a button mashing game with music in the background. You got used to playing to the music, and now have trouble going back.

I agree with these guys. Rock Band has charts that are oftentimes a little more tame (definitely not on some of those metal songs), but they flow with the music much better. Guitar Hero practices the philosophy of more is better, as any song that is not a chilled out song has notes strewn about everywhere. Plus the fact it wants you to play notes for almost every other instrument aside from guitar.

Once I played Rockband I never wanted to go back to GH.

I will always prefer Rock Band over GH. One because the DLC options are always better, and secondly the music is actually in tune with note charts. GH3 was good, but it wasn't charted accurately.
