The whole "XX" or "Xx" does not piss me off, it makes me happy. Much easier to blow someones head off if they already put a sizeable target on it. :)

Haha not really but there was about a week period where i saw about 10 people with the dark knight in there name.I just did something really simple to my nickname so that people can actually identify me in a game but when you get this crazy numerology **** going"l336 9hr54 y32h"it can be a pain telling them something.I'm not bothered but it isn't difficult at all to think of some unique wording.
I don't care how people name their gamertags. As long as they don't cheat I'm fine with it.ForsakenWickedexactly
When I see that I think to myself "gonna suck in about 5 years when they have to pay to change their gamertag to be taken seriously"
Also, I believe there should be a "damn fool tax" tacked onto the name change price for such people. also they should be kicked in the shin for fowling up the servers with their ridiculous x's. Also people on CoD with any GT pertaining to how awesome halo is deserve this tax as well. and to be kicked in the shin, only harder than the x people.
I made mine completely unrelated to anything that I have seen and kind of a mock or tribute to all the people who put "legendaryspartan11199" or "legendaryshooter313XXx".
If you are a clean player and don't smack talk or tea bag and are generally fun to play with then I don't care what your gamertag is, but if you are going to be obnoxious and dirty and annoying then I don't want to hear from you and it just so happens most of the people, not all, that are jerksare people like "numjba1spartenleetskillxxxx".
/Rant lol
[QUOTE="Midders"][QUOTE="UT_Wrestler"]It frustrates me when I'm trying to call somebody by their gamertag name and they have a strange combination of consonants that makes the same hard to pronounce. People need to eliminate anything in their tag that has more than 2 consonants in a row.UT_Wrestler
I hope you aren't one of those silly Americans that can't pronounce like anything.
My gamertag is 'xSOCx Aphex' and people often pronounce it 'Alphex' (only Americans, it seems) over LIVE.
Seriously, do they pull the 'l' out of their butt? Where the hell do they get this crap from!?
I don't appreciate you stereotyping a diverse group of 300 million people as being uniformally stupid. And yet you call us the arrogant bigots.I didn't say that at all. I said that it seems to be only Americans that make the mistake. I never said that they all did it. Do you need glasses or something similar?
I swear most people on these forums don't even read the posts that anyone types.
And please provide evidential support as to when I said anyone or any group of people were arrogant bigots.
So my GT sucks? Just because I have numbers replacing my letters? I think people take this stuff to far.Doesnt it matter if its a good game with no cheating? I think so. Not unless there braging about their GT. Then I would get mad.
Lol. My gamertag is really simple.. it's just my name.whenever i see something like that, i just use the anger to motivate myself to kick their prepubecent asses and show them how "l33t" they really are. works every time!
beeftothetaco
My gamer tag is simple,on one profile,I use my last name and on the other Xbox 360 I own in my livingroom I just use the first and last name of a famous rock star.I use one profile for each Xbox 360 I own.Nobody's upset.
It doesn't even look good, it looks like you can't type with your controller.
Also when you are using a mic, you have to try and read they're stupid names to address them.
I like mine. All caps, no symbols. It's easy to read and stands out in any match.
When I see the "XX"'s and the "Xx"'s dudes, I think to myself "Man, this guy has put way too much time into making that gamertag".
MrBelveder06
And you've spent too much time making that avatar
no kidding...i don't ever plan on having a GT like that but what's the big deal if someone else does? I hate it more when morons in CoD5 go onto Hardcore games just to team kill, and this happens at a high frequency nowadays.Wow... people really care about this stuff? Who gives a crap about other people and there gamertag.

As an older gamer I too have a hard time wrapping my head around what is so "cool" about adding X's and using "l33t" speak. But then again I don't understand the fascination with tatoos either. In general though I'm the type to give someone the benefit of the doubt. I reserve jugdement until I have something to base it on. I have a few friends that have tatoos and body piercings and those things do nothing to detract from the fact that these people are people I like and respect. Just this past weekend I played several hours of RE5 Mercs mode with a gamer named Nasty Josh and his GT was littered with X's and improper capitalization. But that didn't detract from the fact that we had a great time and hope to play together again soon.So... you get on Live, put in your favorite multiplayer game, go into matchmaking and people always have GT's that are full of X's, stupidly placed capital letters, and a whole bunch of 1's,3's, and 4's taking their turn as I's,E's, and A's. And they are usually all 10-12 year-olds that think they are cool for creating a GT that has such things. I don't know what all of you think but I just can't stand it. What do you do when you see a name like XxH4LoSn1P3RxX ?
