The game is surprisingly fun, and a nice addition to XBLA. It does kind of have a Gradious feel to it.

There aren't any more free XBLA games at this time that I'm aware of. They release one every once in awhile. Texas Hold 'Em, Totemball and now Aegis Wing for example. They've kinda sucked so far imho, which might be why they were free for awhile.

I thing Aegis Wing is a superb game, especially for the price.  Attaching the four ships together in multiplayer is a great feature, and you always meet really great people in a game where it's Co-op only.  If anything, the creators of Aegis Wing have really benefited from the Halo Beta delay, as a lot of people are killing time by playing it.  It's quite a lot of fun, I find.

However it is doing it, because it's too cheep thinking it could sell it in other countries. I can bet Msoft will release a statement somthing like this, "Due to commotion about the aegis wing being only available in america, we're deciding to release it world wide for only 800/400 Msoft points..." Oh, how good of them...

    Secondly, you are all talking about Sony and ninty doing the same. I can think of no examples, and neither can google. Bar release dates of games being a little behind on some, mostly due to either A. Translation, or B. Shipping.

And even above all this, if you still think you deserve far more than us measly europeans. Put yourself in our shoes, and at least sympathise with us. Rather than being ignorant, with the big'ol America is the best. America has it's flaws. You are simply too niave to realise it.

I doubt it, but I'd kinda have to give MS some respect for that... derailing one of the biggest events of the 360's lifespan so far for the sake of giving some recognition to a couple of their interns? That's a big victory for the little guy. Unfortunately, I think it has more to do with MS not preparing for volume (a la The Old Spice Challenge) and making another mess as a result.

I love SHMUPS, but this game isn't very good at all. Too many recycled enemies and bosses for one. alot of the bullet patterns are quite easy, and there's times that you can simply stay still and blast during a couplee boss fights.

Gets much better when playing multiplayer, but something just doesn't click the way it should. 

Price is right though, and some of those achievements will be hard fought indeed.
