Doom II coming to Xbox Live Arcade

Finally, i awaited this for a long time. It will supposedly include a new episode + 4 players splitscreen.

Pretty cool, I knew they'd do it eventually. Makes me happy that iD is bringing back all their classics I love, I really hope Hexen, Heretic and Quake are up next. Can't wait to get Doom II :Daryoshi

Same here. Doom II didn't have episodes like the first Doom. "Episode" in Doom II parlance meant a complete, 32-level WAD. Maybe it'll be one of the Final Doom episodes, though that would make it kinda pointless (about 50%) to release Final Doom in the future.

When they say episode for Doom II i see it as, you know when you finish a certain number of map you get an intermission screen with some text then you proceed into a new place with a totally new theme for each level? Thats what i consider an ''episode'' in Doom II.

That's a possibility. Technically, a Doom II "episode" is 32 levels, though whatever news source published this story might not have been aware of that distinction.

Yeah, Doon II is a completely different game.

The new ''episode'' could always be the Master Level for Doom II. Not the greatest maps but wouldn't be a bad bonus.
