Well it finally happened to me. After 1 year, 4 months, and 19 days it finally happened. My 360 finally got the three rings of death. So I called Microsoft to receive my "cardboard coffin" and it turns out that my 360's warranty had expired about two weeks earlier. So after only a couple weeks it would take $139.90 dollars to fix and ship my 360 to Microsoft. So when told my parents about it, they freaked out (meaning my dad). So it seems I'll be without my 360 for awhile now. And what really sucks is that I just recently bought a couple new games for it: Rainbow 6: Vegas and Splinter Cell Choas Theory.
I finally came across a problem today... my 360 froze :'(
I'm frigging nervous about owning it now.

I'm on my replacement 360 I got from MS. It freezes a couple of times every day. Meh. Why does the 360 have to have the best games and best controller?? Whyyyyy
dumbest thin eh.....I dropped my 360 or fell when I first got. fresh out of the box and I put it vertical and it fell(on the ground) then I put it on my entertainment stand which fell off 4 feet. don't worry people...it works.been working for 6 months already

Let's see...it freezes, scratches my games, and gives me the three rings of death. I don't care about Microsoft's exclusive games anymore. I really want to play Mass Effect, but there's no guarantee that my Xbox 360 is going to work by the time that game is released. The hardware is just absolutely pitiful. I bought a system last March and it has failed on me 3 times! After spending about $750 on an Xbox 360, games, and accessories, I at least expected my system to work. I'm not spending another $150 to fix the damn thing only to see it break again in a few months. I'm just lucky I found a friend to buy my refurbished system. At least I've got more money to buy PS3 games WHENEVER they decide to come out...As you can see I'm in a pretty depressing situation as a gamer. This is the second generation of Xbox systems that have failed on me. I won't be burned a third time.
mine suffered from 3 electric shutdowns (the main electricity in my neighborhood)...it still works. I got flashing red lights at some point of time, but i kep it closed , then i restart it and it works fine.The controller and games for xbox along with graphics are GREAT! probably currently best console...but the dumb failures making the ps3 look nice enough to get....if it doesnt have flaws
