so i went to reserve halo3 SE, and the dude at Gamestop goes, "oh sorry were out, i can only take the regular ones....., you cant get them (special and Legendary)anywhere."....so im like eff it, ill rent it from blockbuster and get the special edition when i can find it,
on my way home, i stop at bestbuy and decided to check, THEY HAD around 10 legendaries and a whole bunch of regular and SE left to reserve......so i took a SE box and reserved it and walked out without any lines, and they also open at midnight for thelaunch....so why would i ever go back to EB again......sorry, you just lost a customer.
i hope you guys do the same and dont feed thos3 **** at EB and GS ever again.
axes03
whatever...i dont have problems
[QUOTE="axes03"][QUOTE="FireKicks"]whats the difference between special and legendary?magic_dragon
legendary = helmet, bunch of other dvds and a bunch of extra stuff 130$
SE= metal case, extra DVD, artbook 70$
Why would you want the helmet? Thats just for kids.
I'll be fine with the regular edition thank you.
Ok first of all,
1. EB games and or Gamestop is a "Video Game" Store, so you would think they would be the place to go to either buy or reserve games but guess what there not. They always run out of pre-orders and never have any extra copies.... and If they do they have like 2,Best Buy has never let me down when it comes to games, they always have plenty and the 16 year old Best Buy employee seems to know more about games than the geek wearing corrective shoes at Gamestop, and oh yeah if you notice the people who are defending gamestop, seem to work there.
2. Anyone who spends over 100 bucks for a videogame to get a helmet is well......retarded. I mean seriously you really want a helmet, join the army nerd. Justpay your 60 bucks and play the game.
Butyeah Best Buy>Gamestop.....Thanks
I too have had my share of idiot encounters. I went into one GS, a couple weeks before I got a job at the one I work at now. I was asking about the 360 Premiums with the HDMI.... he told me that the premium will never get HDMI. I wanted to slap the kid lol.
Well I guess it's all just a matter of where you go. I know that at my store most everyone is a hardcore gamer, which makes working there awsome... I just wish all of the stores actually would hire the people who are interested in gaming rather then just random people. We have a few part timers at my store that dont even know the difference between a 360 PS3 and Wii... how they got the job I have no clue...
RedNight55
I was third key at my store. and i found out that the most important requirement for working at gamestop or eb. you gotta know how to sell your merch. that pisses me off cuz i would have customers yelling at me cuz a part timer would tell them halo is coming out for wii and ps3.LOL so if you could sell cell phones, shoes, or cars. They want you!!!
I really don't understand why anybody goes to Gamestop/EB since all of their employees are pretty much a-holes. Best Buy has like the nicest employees and Best Buy has WAY more video games then Gamestop/EB does. Sykoh
Yeah, the people who work at Best Buy are usually very nice.
My attitude was customers come first. sales come second. there questionable stores. but if you look somewhere else youll find the right ones. i did down the street
Because people order halo 3 at EB and gamestop more than anywhere else, thats why maybe they didnt have any more

So you are mad at them because the amount ofspecial edition copiesalloted to that store were already sold out? Shouldn't you be mad you didn't pre-order it sooner if you wanted it from GS or EB?
I'm just saying Best Buy has better business practices, have more games, smarter and more polite employees, and is overall a better game store than the actual game stores. Sure he did wait untill the last minute, but guess where he CAN get the game....Best Buy
dude how can you bash gamestop when you try to pre-order a game as popular as halo 3 less than a week before it comes out?! it's your fault you waited too long, i mean with only 5 days left the game has been shipping out to stores for at least a week now...KGB32
he's not talking about that. he means that theemployees there are very dishonestand dotn know what their talking about. For example the day i went to buy bioshock the GS working told me they are sold out and so is everywhere else and coem back in like a week. i drive down to my local BB and see like 50 copys on the rack. Just never believe what they say. They either dont know what their talking about or just awhips. Thats the way i see it.

It looks pretty sweet tho...[QUOTE="jfkunrendered"][QUOTE="RedNight55"]Honestly, I work at GS and they told us last week that we werent reserving the legendary anymore at our store. But yesterday they then told us again that we can reserve 80 more regular, around 20-30 more collectors and 7 more legendary. So they might have been legitimitly out, but for him to say that no one has it anymore was just plain stupid.
The thing that pisses me off about working at GS is that there are so many idiots that get hired and have no clue about gaming. Make us gamers who actually know our **** look like idiots too.... oh well.

Agreed. There was some guy trying to tell me I had to be 21 to buy an M rated game. I`m 18 and you only have to be 17, I was like F%$## that, I want to talk to the manager....I got it all straight. And theeen there was some guy telling these people that Wii had HD...it only has ED...goodness...

yea no kidding
i just go to future shop which is right by myyeb games and they dont care
