Excerpt from the "Rumor Mill" section of this month's copy of EGM (#219) entitled "Pricey parts" "The Xbox 360 has a whole lot of positive, sure, but it also has one notorious negative: The system randomly craps out for no reason. I might know why: My Microsoft mole tells me that all the best 360 parts (i.e., the ones that pass rigorous stress tests) are currently going to the $475 Elite model. I guess it's a small umm, large price to pay to get a system that works..." What do you guys think about this?
i've read EGM off and on for over15 years andi've found that the Rumor Mole is right maybe %50 of the time. not to say this isn't true but i would take it with a grain of salt.
Can't be true. Didn't MS just lose $1 billion after extending the warranty to three years? So why would they put cheap parts in the premium and core consoles if it is costing them $1 billion.
