Elder Scrolls V - What Do You Want In It?

I loved Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. It was the one game I ever played in my life that hasn't bored me for a matter of 6-7 months. They definitely made it funner than Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind, but whether or not it was better is arguable. But anyways, people are now starting to talk about number five, and I have decided to put up this forum in hopes that I will get feedback on what everyone wants from it.

For me, this forum is all just for laughs, but I'm kinda hoping that an employee from Bethesda will come across this one day and will see just what the fans want from Elder Scrolls V. That would be really cool.

So now we can get to the point of this forum post. What I want you guys to do is compile a list of what you want in the sequel. I will too, because there were a couple of things that I myself thought could use some fixing and tweaking.

• Bring back some skills from Morrowind, like Unarmored and Medium Armor(just to increase the range of available armor).

• New weapons, too, like the Spear and Crossbow from Morrowind, and some new features for Gauntlets and Boots like Melee Damage(just so Hand to Hand fighting is made more interesting and useful). Also, the ability to dual-wield single-handed weapons and weapons that come in pairs for Two-Weapon fighting would be just plain metal.

• Add some new hair types and body customization when creating a new character. Maybe even a new race if it's possible.

• Some tweaks on current skills such as Lockpicking(it's better than what was offered in Morrowind, but it's simplicity renders the Lockpicking skill practically useless) and Alchemy(once you reach Master level in Alchemy, you automatically use the first effect available when combining ingredients. I don't like this, they should make it an option to choose your effects so that your awesome Potion of Super-Duper-Pooper Strength Fortification doesn't also damage your health or magicka).

As far as where it takes place, you guys go on ahead and decide. I'll just be sitting here seeing what you guys want in it.

Oblivion graphics and features. (Rag doll and talking and wotnot)

A little of Morrowind's spice.

And Nudity.

All i want is for them to spend time discovering stupid gliches and fixing them to make the game perfect. Theres nothing else i need because i know Bethesda and 2Kgames wont let me down :D

Edit: Also, Online multiplayer is probably the worst idea i have heard for a Elder scrolls game. Like we have Two worlds make an example of itself how much it woulda sucked :lol:

Online multiplayer would be cool as long as it wasn't an mmorpg. Something like Diablo 2's online, where there is only a smaller amount of people allowed in your "world" at one time.

I think there should be Online multiplayer co-op, it would actually be amazing!!!

Dual weild sounds good. How aboot sea ship exploration and islands and what not. Aswell as massive areas. More weapon types (halbergs, spears, shiruken, tonfa's) And a better third person character model that doesn't look awkward. And definatley more gulids and racessnoz_dawg

Hmm, I forgot to add the "Third-Person" thing because I thought it sucked as well, but yeah, you're right.

My wish is really simple: 2 PLAYER CO OP!!

Arena Multiplaye actually sounds like an awesome idea. That would be sweet and it's own Leaderboard in a sense. Team based duels would be cool as well. 3v3, 4v4.

Those voting for nudity, go out and get a girl friend... or boy friend, what ever moves you. Last thing we need is Jack Thompson jumping on Elder Scrolls due to perverted desires that are easily satisfied in real life :p But please, use protection. A lot of diseases out there, and you would not want to have a little one running around the house prematurely. I waited 8 years to have my kid :p Trust me, a kid is a handful, worse if you are not prepared.lobobizarro

Elder Scrolls 2: Daggerfall had nudity, but it had such bad graphics you couldn't tell :P But I agree, if you want nudity, you picked the wrong series,nudity adds nothing to the game at all.

I would like it if they let you have a mele and ranged weapon equipped at the same time. Get rid of the pointless drag function of the left bumper and make that the button for taking out/putting away your ranged weapon.the05birdman

I do too. In fact, it's actually useful when you're in a shop with too much weight and you need to drop things to bring them closer to you and the merchant. Saves time, and it's fun to toss bodies over bridges.

Which reminds me, I wish rag-doll physics weren't as floaty and light.

I want them to put some fun in this next one.

1- custom armor, like create a character.

2- My own castle/kingdom.

3- more houses to buy I want to be ablt to own it all.

4- my own ship that I can sail around in.

5- levitate

6- A room or a series of rooms that I can display my armor, weapons, like the KOTN armor display. About 50 of them in my custom castle.

7- very large enemy's and bosses. Dragons and such.

8- abilty to ride a dragon around or winged horse.

9- custom taunts using the headphones and message system.

10- If multiplayer is added make it not manditory to play the game.

I want them to put some fun in this next one.

I have to agree with both posters

I wanna see any kind of online play and xbox live vision support for creating your character

What I want:

• More guilds.
• Less go here and kill that quests.
• Werewolves.
• Join-able vampire guilds.
• More vampire quests.
• Them to change the skills back to the way they were.

What we will get:

• Less guilds.
• More go here and kill that quests.
• No werewolves.
• No join-able vampire guilds.
• A buggy "vampire cure" quest.
• Only three skills. Combat, magic and stealth (which all will be available to all classes).

I'd like them to create a more diverse landscape. Morrowind was so unique. One city was absolutely nothing like the other. The climate, architecture, and enemies were totally different depending on where you were in the world.

In Oblivion all the cities were the same, and the Goty edition of Morrowind just added alot more variety.

I would also incorporate all the different provinces in tamriel, but i think online multiplayer would ruin the whole elder scrolls experience. if you want an MMO; play Warcraft or Warhammer...heck, even guild wars. The elder scrolls has always meant deep storyline and heavy emphasis on character development.

Give me a better story, can make actions that change the story, and a story for the guilds.
