Fable 2 - Character ?

:)Hi im writing this as a response to a blog somebody posted on gamespot. The person in question asked, what class will you be in fable 2, they gave the option of pirate or ninja. So i thought id post this topic to show them what they realy should have said.

Those of us who are fans of lionheads outstanding fable, fable the lost chapters and the soon to arrive fable 2 will know how silly pirate or ninja sounds. I am not trying to upset this person i am trying to show ppl what it will most likely be like and ask the question properly.

We all know Peter Moleneux has set the new game in Albion 600 years on. The lionhead team have said the game will be set in the time of the highwayman, those of you have studied this in GCSE History can imagine the classes from this but as its the wacky world of fable yes it will be different, but not ninja different :D

the styles or classes you will most likely be considdering are : Buccaneer, Musketeer, Pirate, Bandit, Highwayman, Journeyman, Assassin, Wizard. Buccaneer being a cross between a musketeer and a pirate, Musketeer being an honourable marksman/gunman, Pirate being a greedy maybe bad bucaneer, Bandit & highwayman would be the same i guess, theyd be theives/warriors holding up stage coaches will be fun:P, Journeyman will be a travelling warrior/merchant, Assassin im sure you can guess, and wizard well you know that too.

so what would you be ? thanks for listening to me ranting on haha ! Fable 2 is gunna rock !

i want to hold a sword like either the prince on the front cover or prince of persia warrior within or like the Apperentice on StarWars Force Unleashed....or maybe i'm too pumped for that game but really it wouldn't feel right in a game like fable maybe holding a single longsowrd...properly or what about like Altair of Assassins Creed...

I didn't think that Fable has/had classes. ?

As for what I would like my character to be like. I've always liked having a really big sword (like a Claymore) or two small ones. Unless I could find a Katana or Rapier which mose games don't have. I don't know what kind of spells are in the game but I've always like lightning, teleporting, or summoning.

Over 385 weapons in fable 2 and the game is going to be huge.

I mean Peter said that fable 1 all the levels are going to equal 1 land in Fable 2.

And there is going to be 12 lands so..

Its going to be 12x the size of fable 1!!!

I hope not. 12x fable 1 will be tiny. Even oblivion is like 25x fable 1. Oblivion wasnt big enough so the 12x theory will make it awfully small. So sorry to disagree but I cannot beleive you.

Thanks for posting guys its interesting to hear your opinions on what kinda person you would like to be. I would like to point out. A number of you have said you did not know fable 2 had character creation. Well for all we know, it doesent. I said "most likely" in my post. Im sorry if I have confused anybody but what I meant was if there is classess these are what I think they would be. I was asking what you would be out of those STYLES. So maybe not a class but a style. Im very sorry for confusing people, to be honest I dont think there will be classes.

Continue to say what you would be, its interesting.

I personally would be a musketeer or buccaneer if I was going for more of a good fable lifestyle and a assassin or pirate if Bad.

well fable 2 looks AWESOME but we dont really know if there are going to be classes at all. i think it will be more your choice. like if you want to be a mage for instance then you upgrade your magic status more thank anything else. and your clothes to look more magey. BUT if they do have classes i want to be a MAGE:Dgregorygap

I still wanna know about charecter customization, I'm so tired of being John Everyman in these games it's driving me nuts dj_pulserfan

go to the fable site and you will see screens of the awesome char customization... anyways I'm not sure what class I'll be first but I will definitely be evil... maybe an assassin

Ive been checking some live feeds and I cannot find any character customisation screens. Your body is most likely moulded in shops or purely by actions or maybe once youve grown up there will be a customisation screen. Also yes its abilities not classes similar to fable but you can do it from the paused screen by pressing start. And it alerts you when a new power is available. Looks awesome.

DO NOT. watch the live feeds or any unofficial video's, I dearly regret it, by watching the 1st 30 mins I know quite a bit along with lionhead naming one of your arch enemys and what hes done wrong. I deeply suggest against watching it, its so hard to resist tho I know.
