Left 4 Dead. Fable II was fun; the first playthrough was pure awesome, but after that I feel there's really not much to do. The entire story felt really short, though I had fun with it 2-3 playthroughs. The world felt really cramped and linear though. There also wasn't enough clothing, and there was no armor in that whole game. Left 4 Dead is basically infinitely replayable for me, since the AI Director switches the spawns every time you play. It may not seem like much and some may notice it at all, but it's just crazy. Especially when you're thinking "how bad would it be if a Tank spawned right now?" and sometimes, a Tank will spawn. The thing with L4D though, is that is extremely short. You could beat the game in 3.5 hours. And if you don't like playing the same levels over and over again, you basically just paid however much you paid for a 3.5 hour long game.
I'd only recommend L4D if you're an Xbox LIVE Gold Member though. Without friends the game is not really as fun. One of the best things you can do in that game is leave your friends for dead. Fable II you could have plenty of more hours of fun, by yourself or Co-op, even though co-op in Fable II really sucks IMO.
In the DLC department L4D owns Fable II. L4D has a free, really small add-on that adds WAY more time to the game than Knothole island. Which is 800MSpoints/$10, and barely adds anything to the game. You get 3 "dungeons" and a bunch of potions that let you modify your characters appearance.
