I know Fable 2 is going to have offline co-op gameplay, and I was wondering if they are planning to do multiplayer co-op on xbox live or any type of xbox live multiplayer?
Yeh it will , But what i don't understand is why would someone get there friend to help them or go through it with them, I mean i would hate that it's like you didn't complete the game yourself. Unless ofcourse you completed and just went through it with a friend for fun.

I must say I share the same feelings. Hopefully fable 2 has such a huge environment with baddies that are so powerful that you would need 2 players. Also they may have 2 player only quests as well. But other than that I dont see how making fable 2 multiplayer will work out.

Well even if the baddies were LOADS , i'd still prefer to do it myself, because i'd have that feeling that i didn't complete my favourite game in the world to the fullest by myself. Though as for the multiplayer only quests - that sounds as a good idea , as Number 1; You have no other choice (by which i mean you can't do it yourself) and Number 2; Your completing the game to the fullest if their completed :P.
