I got it a couple of days ago, and I really like it. It's got charm, a good story line and a simple but entertaining battle system. Also the good or evil system is great too, you'll be able to play a couple of playthroughs (eg be good one times, evil another).
Achievements wise, most of them are really easy. You shouldn't play games for achievements though, it kind of defeats the purpose. That's what I think, anyway.

the thing i think about achievements tho is it makes it so you experence more of the game because you are doing more then just playing through it once and being done with it

And how does it defeat the purpose of playing a game? To still enjoy it? To play it more and more thoroughly? To strive through a seemingly impossible feat inanticipation ofthat beautiful little sound as you complete a tough challenge? To play more competitively?

If playing for achievements defeats the purpose of playing a game I guess the guys @ microsoft are a bunch of jerks; sweep-kicking the fun right out of every game released for the system.

Well people who play games just to rack up achievement points are kinda defeating the purpose of playing the game for the excellent storyline or awesome gameplay, they are playing just to get a higher number on their profile. Especially if they play terrible games just for easy achievements or ignore really good games because they have hard ones. If you can't make up your mind about Fable 2 I suggest renting the game.

Woah, woah, woah. Hold up, stop jumping to conclusions.
I LOVE the achievement system, I think it's great and adds more reason to play through games thouroughly; like you said.
Perhaps I should have worded what I said differently. I was saying that playing a game JUST for achievements is bad. The TC said he wants some easy achievements.
It's stupid when people that play crap games just for achievements.

Apologies, I seem to have misunderstood what you were saying. I hope that I helped you, though.

Fable 2 is very fun. It's got a charm that you don't see any many games now. The main story is short but you'll have plenty of other stuff to do in between the main missions.

While I didn't think it was a bad game, it was my biggest disappointment for 2008. I liked the first one a lot more than the second. Characters were stupid, story was terrible, the game was extremely short, the final moment of the game was horrible, the DLC (so far) was lackluster, you don't have armor in the game, just clothes, less magic than the first, etc, etc.
