There are two versions of the game, Fable, and Fable The Lost Chapters. Both can be bought as an xbox disc, but the version you can download from Marketplace is the original Fable.
I want to get Fable 2 but never played Fable 1. Does that matter? Will I not get the story in Fable 2 b/c of this?raydog44
Fable 2 is set hundreds of years after Fable 1 so I don't imagine you would need to play the first. I liked it though, so it wouldn't hurt. I reccommend The Lost Chapters edition if you get to play it, as it has more content.

It wont matter. Personally, I could have done without Fable 1 and saved my $15 bucks. It was a huge disappointment, although, I'm looking forward to Fable 2 to redeem itself.
