Yep, beginning is pretty hard. Push through by exploring EVERYTHING, killing raiders for ammo and guns, and build repair skill so you can fix guns up and sell them.... Same as usual :lol:

When you level up get the fortune finder perk (finds caps) and scrounger perk (finds ammo), but in the mean time steal some stuff. It will get you some bad karma but not alot.

sneak ALOT

steal ALOT

kill non-necessary npcs and rob them

do all that without getting caught as best you can

search everywhere, take everything regardless of if u plan on using it, then repair it so u can sell it for big $$$$$ (100% plasma rifles go for 1000+ caps)

with money comes power, with power comes... more money:D

its a vicous cycle that works in ur favor

also, i recommend you get [spoiler] sergeant w/e, hes a robot that is sold buy some old guy npc around the robot factory which is near ten penny tower, you need neutral karma and 1000 caps tho [/spoiler]

Lucky for you Fawkes is the ultimate noob protector. just get him and ur good to go.

The question we should all be asking is what are you leveling? Small guns, lockpick, science, and repair are the things to level. Also do the atomic bomb mission for a home... because for 1000 caps or so you can get a healing station so in the downtown dc area you should be able to find a location go heal, advance further, go heal. easy money.
