Fallout 3 Doctor question

So i just accidenty got addicted to meds.. Now my home is in megaton, but the doctor there well -- he is no longer alive to cure me.. we had a miss hap

Is there any other doctors around to help because I havent even seen any really besides megatons

and what are the effects of being addicted

also jut finished the oasis side quest... very weird

you can also get the medical upgrade for your place from the crazy "wasteland guide" chick. Then you never have to worry about becoming an addict.

Side note...being addicted decreases your stats. You can look it up on your pip-boy
