I remember watching a video of Fallout 3 not too long ago, and he had a dog with him, so how do you get a dog or a robot. Who do you see in Rivet City( the boat city) about the power suit?
Head from Megaton to Minefield. In between will be a location called "Scrapyard." Look around, and Dogmeat will be there fighting some Raiders. Be careful with him, though. He can die permanently. You see Gunny after The Waters of Life quest to use Power Armor.
Is Minefield north, south, east, or west of Megatonnmart
You find him in the minefield, you get sent there on a mission to do some sort of Wasteland Survival book, its Northish of Megaton, or the smoking crater if you blew it up.
The scrapyard is north of Bethesda Offices and South of Minefield. If you drew a line between the two it would run through the scrapyard. Head North East from Megaton, across the river, then start heading more North than NE.
