I'm looking for a game I'm going to really enjoy and have a lot of fun playing. I know Fallout 3 was rated better and is generally considered a "better" game, but I just don't want to get bored after 15 hours and never touch the game again. Does Fallout 3 really keep you engaged or is it like "ohhh god I just need to finish this repetitive thing and move on!" Everyone whos played Saints Row 2 tells me its the more fun version of GTA IV (which I loved btw).

Which game would you suggest I buy: Fallout 3 or Saints Row 2? Why?

Fallout 3 is better in every way; next time don't ignore the sticky at the top of this forum.

Yeah Fallout 3 is a better game.... i went to 3 Store's until finally EB games had it.... clear across town lol was desperate to get it... lots of Ground to cover in this game just started it.. Regards, dabonz

Fallout 3 no doubt in my mind. Like i literally don't even have to think about it, my brain is just like "Fallout, Fallout, and more Fallout."

I would rent Fallout 3. I beat it in under 20 hours and haven't felt compelled to play it again. Saints Row 2 I have not tried, though. This comes from someone who loves Oblivion and has spent over 100 hours on it.

wow, i assumed my thread would have been locked by now. haha thanks for the responses though, i rly appreciate it. I think I'm gonna get Fallout 3, and then down the road pick up Saints Row 2. But before both, I think I'm going to grab the Orange Box for $20 at Target. I've never played any of the Half Life games, and I'm really looking forward to it. Btw, if anyone is interested, Fallout 3 is only $39.99 this week at Target. so woo for Target. Again, thanks for the responses :)

Whatever you do, don't miss out on Saints Row 2! I got them both on the same day, and can't stop swiching between the two. It's important to note that Saints Row 2 is dramatically similar to an RPG, with dialogue choices being the only absence I can think of (perks are in SR2, you just don't attain them through "levelling up" with respect).

This is just my opinion. Saints Row 2 is fun and Fallout 3 is boring. I could never really get into Bethesda's brand of RPG's. It's good and all, but it wasn't fun for me.
