FARCRY2 EPIC PHAIL.....booring game ever....

Far Cry 1 pc, crysis and far cry 2 arent games that you can just complete using a few clicks on the controller and little of your brain, like say halo 3.

Use your imagination and these games are great.

Nope. I agree 200%. Great amazing game, single player is great, multiplayer is even better.

What's this about walking weird? No.

Guns sound bad? They sound just like every other FPS.

Heres a reason why this games cool: I cant believe that I actually have partners that kick ass. So I died during one of my first missions..really really early, I thought the game would just switch over to my last save, but no, view returns after a black screen, I see one of my buddies dragging me off the ground, injecting me with a health syringe and started shooting his ass off. So by the time my vision cleared and I pulled out my gun, this guys standing next to me on top of three dead enemies still blasting his shotgun off. We finished the rest of the foes off easily.

You dont die because buddies save you. And they kick ass,, wow thats sick.

i havent seen that bullet animation thing in the game...!!!!!!.. somewhere i heard that it has 29 diff animations for injuries....

was real pumped on it.. then them not doing a demo worried me.

upon release people were saying it was good.. got me happy, and made me think about for the first time buying a game that didn't release a demo..

now after a few days, much more negative is surfacing, and i'm probably gonna pass.

should just stick to my original thinking.. never buy a game that doesn't do a demo. it usually means something is wrong. and if there isn't something wrong, well i still don't like supporting devs who can be bothered to whip up a quick sample for me.

looks like the only game i might buy untill next year will be left 4 dead (the only game i'm interested in that's actually doing a demo).. my money is going to the first who release a demo i like, and with most of these dev's being stupid and not even releasing a demo (with all the stiff competition, no demo? wow, good marketers) looks like my only choice is left 4 dead.

45. if you run for 7 sec you must wait 5 sec till you can run again or see anything

46. you are mute for ever so shhhhhhh!!! (you cant speak in game with npc ect.)

47. dont worry be happy! every one know what you want and what you need! you dont need to talk they just look at you! they are freaking sidekicks!

48. trees are immortals you cant do enything to them! they will survive even 10 blast of bzooka!

49. you cant destroy bridges they same as trees they are immortals!!!

50. ubisoft tried so much to make enviroment to be realistic that much that they forgot about all the other stuff...

Good God, Far Cry 2 is the WORST FPS ive ever played this year. Man seriously WTF is this? It sucks so much ass. Im about 2hrs into the campaign and im already bored of it, its so bland and meh! Its all drive here, go there, go here, clear camps and make them your safehouses, seriously wtf! Dont look for a story because there aint one, all these missions are a sorry excuse to increase game time. And the multiplayer is at an all new level of CRAPFEST. Other than Enemy Territory Quake Wars I cant think of one single FPS whos MP is this horrible.


* Laughable sprint feature, its pretty much pointless. You speed up like 0.5mph and the whole screen blurs as though your running at 100mph. BFBC's sprint (which sucks as well) feature feels like a God in front of this.

* wow gun sounds are so amazing /sarcasm. What the hell did they use to make those sounds?? Hitting sticks on a wall probably??

* Movement - Oh man what can go so wrong on such a simple thing like this?? Why is that my character walks as though he has got an artificial leg?? When i run its like my legs will fly off from my body any minute.

* Accuracy - Yea go on give the enemy 1000% accuracy so that they can shoot me from a kilometer away and can make all their bullets hit me but when i try to hit an enemy that is only a few hundred meters away the bullet spreads like an umbrella. Then there is that stupid red damage indicator, half the time it does not even point to the right direction (the direction which the enemy is shooting me from)

* MP Maps - Who ever made those in-built maps is an idiot, most of the maps lack balancing and one team has the perfect base while the other has the worst base. Devs first priority for a proper MP implementation are the maps, no one will stick to your game if your maps suck balls. Sure you can retort saying they've given you the map editor, ya right but the thing is will you be able to find 16 players with that same map of yours in 5-10mins?

* NO matchmaking, no party system and yea you cant play ranked matches with your friends

* Also negative EXP?? wtf! I gained about 330 in one game and i lost 280XP in the next and lost a rank. umm hello?? whats going on??

* All that pulling bullets from your body is just a gimmick, its ridiculously frustrating in MP because when you manage to find some cover to pull out the bullet, you're giving ample amount of time for the enemy to come to you and rape your face

* Respawn time - OH MA GAWD wth! you can take a short nap while it counts down. One of the longest respawn counters in any game. zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

* SP lacks action and MP lacks fun

I can go on and on but this is enough and im so mad right now. To people who think the graphics are great lol I bet you that the graphics will get old in less than 15 mins, because thats what it is, its the same boring scenario everywhere and LOL ive not seen rock textures so horrible in any game, its like liquid **** sprayed all over the rock. And then there is this mountable turret effects, you know the fireblasts when you shoot?? they look 2D. Wth parveer, shadows are ridiculously dithered, this game is like every other X360 game, there are absolutely NO shadow improvements. And oh good one more FPS with a floating camera, why cant i see my god damn legs when i move/when i remove bullets from my hand?? So much for realism when dated games had them.

Also if you're thinking that this game (Multiplayer) is going to be like CoD4, then you'll be extremely disappointed. I honestly believe that this game will be dead in less than 2 weeks, MP lobbies are not even crowded during the launch week, so just think about it down the road.

Anyways, for pirates you guys go ahead and do w/e you want, my rant is for the people who are going to spend $$ on this. If I were you I would not buy this game, save your $$ for Gears or CoD WaW or any other game but not this (its still your choice, im just throwing it out) because it WONT last long. Damn im sooo freaking mad right now, absolute waste of 60$.

Baseline:
This is NOT a sophisticated/polished shooter, its a sorry excuse for a FPS an open world FPS that is. As of now id give it a 5/10 and that is quite generous if you ask me.

PS: Im talking about the X360 version and i cant say the same for other versions.

yer sprint system is a bit strange but you do get used to it

nothing wrong with gun sounds

stop liying about the dodgy movment its from a FP perspective its sort ment to make you feel the movment unlike COD and all the rest

the accurcy is not like 1000% **** again your over exaduraing well over exadurating

the multipalyer is the best part of the gam at all but map editor is grate and its good to go on user created map and the all ready built in maps arn't bad stop exadurating things

the campaing lacks action because you've only played 2 hour that hardly enough time to give an accurate anylsis of the game you have to go looking for your action in the camps etc

yes it has flaws but you are exadurating and the game get better during the 5 to 15 hour area so it does take time to get good but once it does get good i mean it gets gooooood

i like how TC posts "50 epic facts" that have minor affects on actual gameplay, and then hypes his own point.

i wont go through those 30 somthing (alot were repeated, same basica point) facts, but i will tell you that in every other shooter i played the trees stayed put; if the enemies could break into my SAFE house and i had no where in the game to go it would be less fun, not more; people need to stop bringing up the malaria thing, its an interesting game mechanic realistic or not; everyone hates you because you are a mercenary who kills everyone, word travels dude; how many tons of games have a mute protangonist hmm??, yadda yadda blah blah.

Bottom line, you are right when you say its not the most realistic game, and that ubi didnt 100% live up to their claims, but none of those 50 things would make the game less fun, just less realistic.

i love it how u complained about respawns and healing, cause every FPS has been so realistic in that respect, one bullet to the chest and u die with no respawns, everyone would buy that game. the funny thing is, that the fact that u said u hate this game and gave it a score of 9.5, is that u took the time to write 50 "facts" about it, lol yeh your time is being much better spent nowchaoscougar1

As for graphics, why are you making fun of rock textures? Do you really need your rocks to look pretty? I've not seen a graphics hooker as bad you if rocks with bad textures make your willy shrivel up.

Farcry 2 was a good buy and worth my 60 dollars. Don't listen to this guy... Give Far Cry a chance.

I have to say I disagree with that. FC2 story is by far the worst thing about the game. Bioshock and GTA... Hell even Oblivions story beats the living hell out of this game. I thought it was boring just like the TC. It really is a bland FPS... I am surprised its getting the reviews its getting.

But to each his own I guess. Glad to see some people are enjoying is. I do miss Jack Carver though. He was a badass with a hawaiian shirt.

me too, i havent been this disappointed with a game since assassins creed. but at least for the first couple of hours i really enjoyed assassins creed whereas with this i just cant get into it at all.

I have played so many games that either had great single player and no multiplayer like bioshock, and vice versa like COD 4.

This game has both, the single player is just plain fun, and the multiplayer is great too. Now granted the multiplayer is not the greatest thing, but what, do you want it to be exactly like COD 4?

Also it has a map editor that puts halo 3's forge to shame.

The game is just plain fun and you get your moneys worth with single, multi, and map creations all in one.

boring after 2 hours ... i must be real bored putting 20 hrs into it. I'm not even close to 50% completion. if you really hate the game that much then just trade it in.

man i no u both have dif opinions but they're wayyyyy different. 20 seconds is a long time to respawn imo. But i'll pry give it a chance, just because a lot of ppl said good things about it.

I am enjoying far cry 2 immensely, in fact i should get my homework done so i can go play it yet im just procrastinating it...

it is a fun game... very immersive. While it might not be action paced as half life 2, or the multiplayer may not be as addictive as CoD4, it still is a great game in its own right. I mean, I've been having fun unlocking the guns from the dealers in the game all the missions were basically to go blow up a convoy.

Some of the gripes I have though is running into random enemies (drags things out a bit when I want to do the mission), and driving ALL over... Course, those two correspond with another. If it was straight driving without running into bad guys all the time... it'd go a bit smoother.

But still, this game does shine, and i'm sorry to hear that others find it boring. But i guess its not your cup of tea. As for me, i should get to my homework so i can go play it some more.

Sounds like far cry. The first game was so bland and dull I thought I was going to rip my eyes out...sure, the water was pretty. Besides that, the action was just...boring. Sorry..but, this is going to be a hard game to force yourself to enjoy.PureDante

Being like like the 1st far cry wouldn't be a bad thing to me. I loved it. I have only played FC2 sp for about 2 hours, and so not much PT yet. I like it fine so far, but many reviews say it gets better as time goes on. I also played the MP, and it was fun. I like setting the grass on fire behind a group of people and seeing it spread with the result of multikills. And the ones that get away are hiding trying to pat the fire out with the "heal" button.
